We stayed at the Fort Arabesque for a week in November, around 45 mins drive from Hurghada airport, the hotel is situated in a very nice spot on the edge of a sweeping bay. Unfortunately our initial experience was not good. on our first full day at the hotel we discovered the lock for the patio doors to our room... more

Just returned from a week at Fort Arabesque, what a fantastic time. This was our first time to egypt and using an all inclusive deal. We was delayed at Gatwick for 90 mins and the place First Choice plane was very cramped. We did not pay the extra for food on the plane but got fed anyway! On arrival at... more

Fort Arabesque, Makadi Bay A longish review but hope you find it useful. We spent two glorious weeks at this hotel from 26 September to 10 October 2008. The weather was constantly around 38 degrees. It was windy most of the time, with a couple of days when it was very strong and a bit unpleasant but otherwise it was... more

Just arrived back from a wonderful holiday at Fort Arabesque. The hotel is in a great location, right by a sandy beach with a coral reef within a few feet of the shore. There are loads of fish to be seen without going out of your depth. The hotel itself is spaceous, well set out in wonderful gardens that are kept... more

Before I start, let me clarify a couple of points: 1. my husband and I wanted a quiet, relaxing beach holiday to help us unwind after a hard year at work etc and 2. we were with Saga and therefore in the "New Wing" so cannot really comment on the facilities in the main part of the hotel. That said,... more

Just returned from 2 fantastic weeks at Fort Arabesque. The only downside of our 2 weeks away were the flights (Thomson holidays – First Choice Airways)…outward we were delayed for around an hour and I have never been so cramped on an aeroplane in my life. I am quite short and even I struggled – heaven knows how taller people... more

We went to Fort Arabesque on 27 June 2008 for one week. We booked through a travel agent for an All Inclusive trip. First impressions of the hotel were brilliant; we were slightly delayed meaning that we arrived after dinner had finished serving, but there was food (cold platter of ham, cheese and bread) waiting for us when we arrived... more

We have just returned from two weeks at Fort Arabesque staying from 05/09/08 - 19/09/08. This has been our fourth time to Egypt We went with Thompson Holidays all inclusive and would advise those going to catch the earlier morning flight rather than the afternoon flight which we did. The fight was crammed with little leg room but bearable This... more
