We stayed at the Ritz Carlton 20th to 27th November, and it was our first visit to Egypt. The main reason for our holiday was to celebrate my partner's 40th birthday. We wanted a lazy, sunny, and luxurious holiday - and that is just what we got. The weather was pefrect for sunbathing (28C). The hotel is fabulous. The grounds,... more

We have just returned from a week's stay at The Ritz Carlton in Sharm El Sheikh and would like to reassure anyone thinking of going there that this is an excellent hotel. We visit this hotel every year and this is our fourth visit. The standard of the rooms, food, staff and everything is first class. I cannot believe the... more

We have just returned from a week at the Ritz Carlton. We go there once a year for the last 4 years. We tried other hotels in Sharm (Savoy and Hayatt Regency) but we always go back to the Ritz because it is superior to the others. In fact I recommended the hotel to a number of my friends and... more

We are fans of the RC hotels, having stayed in many of them in cities (fBarcelona, Tokio, Osaka, KL, Singapore, Shanghai,...) and resorts (Miami, Bali); we are thus well placed to say that this hotel is no RItz Carlton, and so for 3 reasons: the rooms, the service and .the guests!. The rooms (incl the club rooms) are very basic,... more

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Ritz carlton. I would like to start by saying the airport was in utter chaos, after we eventually got into sharm airport, the Thomsons rep told us that there has been an increase in flights from five in two and a quarter hours to twenty two planes in the same... more

Where to start... Having experienced the Ritz Carlton in a variety of other countries I thought I could take for granted the level of luxury and attention detail when we booked this holiday but was extremely disappointed. From the start it was made clear by the dismissive and disinterested Russian reception staff that as we were on a package so... more

I don't know where to start with this joke of a Ritz Carlton. We go to a different hotel in Sharm el Sheikh every few months, so I am confident of my assessment of this hotel in terms of value for money. Paying extremely high prices for extremely poor quality. The hotel itself is really ugly, outdated & very poorly... more

We have just returned from our stay at the Ritz Carlton. As a group of 10, 6 adults and 4 children I found this hotel very ill prepared for a group of this size. No beds for the children in the rooms, no table large enough to sit more than 6 and then you were amongst the flies! I have... more

If you have ever stayed in a five star hotel before you will be shocked by this hotel. Terrible food. Basic ingredients poorly prepared. Awful service. Service consisted of nothing other than sales, staff reminded me of street vendors. The resort is very outdated and outmoded with particularly terrible inroom facilities. The spa was decent but nothing compared to most... more

I have just returned from a week’s holiday at the Ritz Carlton in Sharm with my two girls. We had a lovely, restful stay with brilliant sunshine. To sum up, the hotel is not up to it’s 5* rating, it’s 90’s décor and hit and miss service place it firmly on a lower 4* rating with me and the UK... more
