Russia has been going through a changing time for the last 5 years, although visably western in parts the Russian mentality is often hard to outroot. Peter 1st is not a bad hotel at all, with regards to value for money its 'fair' by moscow standards, internationally, its unreasonable, however Moscow prices are in a world of there own. Reasonable... more

My flight into Moscow on Delta was very early, and I got to the hotel in late-morning. They had a room immediately available and I was shown directly there. First impressions were the room was spacious and clean, with windows that opened to the street below. There was construction outside of the back-side of the building, so I'm glad I... more

Firstly I would say if you have to see Moscow don't walk anywhere on your own. There is a terrible quandary in Moscow that Taxi's are ridiculously expensive for short journeys but it is not safe on the streets. Just seconds walk form the hotel I was approached by conmen, one pretending to drop money and another running over pretending... more

The hotel is quite new an in good shape. Clean. The concierge was very helpful. Breakfast was very average, coffe terrible. Location is very good, just behind TSUM and short walk form Red Square. We booked a taxi to the airport through hotel, it was old shabby volga and was to be 1500 rubles, but the taxi driver took 2000... more

Centrally located, but otherwise we don't recommend this hotel. First of all I got salmonella from the breakfast buffet (probably the from the cold cuts). The symptoms begun about 1-2 hours after the breakfast (diarrhea, vomiting, fever). The receptionists just said that they cannot do anything... Otherwise the personnel in the breakfast room were really bored to their work: looking... more

I have stayed in Moscow many times, but this was the first time I have stayed at this hotel... and it will likely be the last. There is nothing bad about this hotel, but there are better choices, at least for me. As everyone has said, the hotel is expensive. Everything in Moscow is expensive, especially if you're in the... more

Hotel Peter 1st is a luxurious and centrally located hotel within blocks of the Bolshoi theater and Red Square. The staff are attentive and helpful. They assisted us in locating a lost bag and booked a dinner reservation at a busy restaurant. This is truly a first class hotel. Rooms are spacious with a fitness area available. Terry robes and... more

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights when I travelled to MOW on a business trip. The transfer from DME airport was a little `hairy' with the typical Russian standard of driving however I arrived safely after 1.15p with a little traffic. The Reception staff speak very good English and the Conceirge/Bell boys are attentive. My room was clean... more

Comparing to the other hotels in the neighbourhood (e.g. Ararat Hyatt, Hotel National, Hotel Metropol) , this is a cheaper alternative (moderate in Moscow standard, but outrageously expensive in world standard). You can walk to Bolshoi Theater in 7 min and Red Square in 15 min. It costs 10 euro an hour to use the Internet. Or you can go... more

This hotel is a good find in Moscow. It is a nice 4 star hotel. It has a very central location with the kremlin & red square in easy walking distance. The rooms are large & luxurious & the bathrooms nicely designed. It's by no means cheap but good value compared to other hotels in moscow which can be absolutely... more
