I stayed at the Arlington Hyat for a business trip. Be advised that as of September 2008, the hotel is undergoing a major renovation/construction. Here is my assessment: Pros: 1. My stay occurred during one of the busiest weeks of the year and the Arlington Hyatt's room rate (around $300) was reasonable for the time of year in DC. 2.... more

We decided at the last minute on Thursday of Labor Day weekend that it would be nice to go to DC for the weekend, if any hotel was kind enough to accept our bid on Priceline. The Hyatt in Arlington was gracious enough to accept a $50 per night rate for Saturday and Sunday nights, Aug. 30-Sept 1. Checking here,... more

We checked in, and the staff seemed overwhelmed, even though it was late at night. They charged us for parking $16, but there were no spaces open in the parking garage. They took my keys when I was loading my car "just in case" but I later got stuck the driveway because of another person leaving their car there. The... more

We paid $122 -- $96 room rate and taxes plus $16 parking. For that price, it was fair. I'd probably be willing to pay $150 total but no higher. Customer service does not exist here. Front desk staff doesn't smile, almost acts like you're a burden to them. They do not offer express check out so you must go down... more

Heavy construction is still evident but there were no problems on the 11th floor. The staff were excellent. The room was fresh and recently remodeled; flat screen TV, lots of space and a great comfy bed. No problems there. They have the $5 bottle of water thing, which I think is tacky and unwelcoming, especially if you're paying nearly $300... more

Yes, construction is clearly still going on, however, I only heard it between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m... so for business travelers with outside meetings planned during the day this will not be an issue. If you plan to sleep in or lounge around your hotel room at all during business hours, stay somewhere else. I say typical Hyatt because... more

There were a lot of pros and a few cons about this hotel. The biggest pro is the location: being right next to the Rosslyn Metro station made getting around DC very easy. The hotel is undergoing renovation. That much is clear from the second you approach the hotel. Scaffolding covers the entrance and outside of the place. The entrance... more

As a travel agent through AAA we do short trips to check out hotels within driving distance. I took two friends along for the trip down to DC on the weekend of the 25th. Although the hotel is going under renovations that was not the issue with the hotel. The room was beautiful, the view we had gave us glimpses... more

Prior to our visit we were a bit concerned about the construction taking place in the hotel. Per other reviews we request a room on a lower floor which turned out to be great. There was no construction on our floor but our view did have the scaffolds. As far as noise the only time we heard anything was during... more

We stayed at the Hyatt over the 4th of July for two nights. This is the first time that we have stayed in a Hyatt. We picked this particular hotel because it is right across the street from the Metro Station. We knew the area pretty well from staying over the 4th last year and found that using this particular... more
