The hotel is pretty decent but was let down slightly by its location. It was about a mile outside the centre and if you wanted to walk into town it seemed that you'd have to negotiate your way past a busy freeway across a bridge to do it. Our arrival at the Krungsri River Hotel was a half hour prior to check-in time so we were told to wait in the lobby. (Maybe the room wasn't clean yet?) This is the best hotel (I have also tried the U-Thong Inn before) in the historical city of Ayuthaya (must see in a Thailand trip).
