This property is a mixed bag. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was great either. We paid extra for an ocean view and were given a room on the fourth floor (the top floor). The view was wonderful! Please note that ground floor rooms on the ocean side do not have a water view. The room itself had comfortable beds and... more

We did a good bit of research before selecting the Hampton Inn at St. Augustine Beach. We basically wanted a nice room on the beach for a reasonable price. This hotel met that requirement more than adequately. The room was very clean; the free breakfast was good; the staff was extremely helpful; the beds were comfortable. Our two concerns were... more

Well the staff was teriffic, but the 2 night stay started out pretty dismally. The Hotel itself was undergoing renovation, so I will forgive the paint cans and ladders but the carpeting was in pretty bad shape. Hopefully that's been replaced by now. To start off they made a mistake with our reservation and we didn't get our beach front... more

We just returned from a family vacation in Florida. We spent the first two nights at this Hampton Inn. (We had reservations on the Gulf Side of the State for the rest of the week.) Our experience was definitely favorable. The hotel was very clean and there always seemed to be someone cleaning the lobby and hallway areas during the... more

We stayed at this hotel in august 2008. If you want to be directly on the beach, this hotel is ideally located. Many rooms have a balcony on the ocean, which is agreable. Other than that, the hotel appears to be poorly maintained. Bathroom badly needs renovation. Furniture is stained and looking old. All in all I would not recommend... more

Our experience at the Hampton Inn was a good one. Check-in was easy and the receptionist was friendly. I noticed there were some wet spots in the hall leading out to the pool and inside the elevator, but later noticed they had been cleaned up. There is a stack of clean towels by the door for people coming inside and... more

I can tell this hotel was not originally a Hampton Inn. It is a bit more unique than your typical cookie cutter Hampton. It appears to be a slightly older property than most Hampton Inns. However, it is maintained very nicely and kept clean. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Our room was on the oceanfront side on the... more

My family stayed here for just two nights. We didn't want to leave. The rooms were great and the balcony was fabulous. We actually saw a bird's nest in the Palm Tree near our balcony and a dove sitting on an egg. It was so serene here and lots of nature. There were ducks on our grass and lots of... more

We just returned from a 4 day trip at the Hampton Inn on St. Augustine Beach and had a wonderful time.We were a little concerned about the reviews and have always tried to stay at hotels in tripadvisors top 10 (Hampton Inn was 13) but decided to give it a try and we are so happy that we did! The... more

At the check-in time, the front desk coordinator was very rude with us. First she could not give us the type of room we had requested and then she gavue a bad attitude. Nonetheless, we tried to move on and enjoy our stay. When we got home, I received the survey about how was our stay. Indeed, I expressed that... more
