My wife and I were looking for a place to go to for Thanksgiving dinner and to do some sight-seeing. We found Holladay House on the internet-our good fortune!! The owners, Sharon and Sam, are great to deal with. They can be very proud of their B&B. The accommodations were excellent, Thanksgiving dinner was great, breakfasts were fine, and the... more

This was my first bed and breakfast experience. I wanted to surprise someone special with a great weekend getaway from the city. Everything from the website to the accommodations was just amazing. The Holladay house is that special hidden place in small town America. The bed and breakfast was spotless. We chose to stay in the blue room and it... more

If you're traveling around this part of Virginia to visit historical sites, The Holladay House is an excellent choice of lodging. It's right down the road from Montpelier, and a nice country drive from Monticello. There's a Saturday morning farmers' market across the street as well as nice restaurants nearby. (Don't miss Pomme in Gordonsville,) But beyond all else, Sharon... more

This is by far the finest B&B I've have ever visited. The inn and rooms were immaculate and the breakfast was amazing. The inn has a wonderful feel to it and is not lacking any amenities. The owners are wonderful and Sharon’s chocolate chip cookies alone make the stay worthwhile. more

I live 10 miles away from Orange, and due to unforeseen circumstances, needed a place to stay for one or two nights. Sharon is an amazing hostess and totally accommodating. Not only did she make me feel extremely welcome, but she held the room for the second night even though I wasn't sure I would need it. As it turned... more

We were touring Virgina and needed a place to spend the night after visiting Montpelier - James Madison's home. We found Holladay House B & B on Trip Advisor - it was close by and highly rated. We weren't disappointed. We were greeted by Sharon, one of the owners, who is simply delightful. She even helped us with our suitcases... more

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Holladay House Bed and Breakfast. Coming from Loudoun County in Northern VA, we were excited to plan a visit to "Central VA" to visit some of the local wineries. The Holladay House is a wonderful B&B to visit -- it's charming, nicely furnished, and very inviting. We stayed in one... more

This bed and breakfast is located in historic downtown Orange, VA, a lovely little town in central Virginia (3 miles from James Madison's Montpelier). One of the two oldest buildings in the town, the 1830s house is impeccably maintained by the owners. The breakfasts were scrumptious, using the best, freshest ingredients... for example a plum tart was made from plums... more

This is the perfect location to see all the attractions of the area, so close to Montpelier but also not too far away from Monticello and Shenandoah NP. This b&b has off-street parking, a PC you can use to check your emails / web and offers a great breakfast in the morning. The innkeepers are extremely helpful and kind and... more
