Read about the hotel on Tripadvisor. It was as good as reviewed. The location can't be beat. Our room was spotless. The room was small but I expected that from reviews and for a boutique hotel in a city I think that is to be expected. The staff was great. Always gave us directions and suggestions. The hotel has an... more

I just stayed two nights at the Alexander Inn. The owners are clearly trying to play up the idea of being a friendly, non-chain boutique hotel. That may well be true, but still, compared to many other boutique hotels (and even national chain hotels) that I've stayed in, the rooms are pretty average. They're not terribly tiny, but certainly not... more

We just returned from our vacation in Philadelphia. Based on the great reviews, we decided to stay at the Alexander Inn. The Alexander Inn proved to be a fantastic hotel! For the price, we had a hard time believing that there was a continental breakfast, a fitness area, two PC's with broadband access. Best of all, the friendly folks at... more

I read the reviews here and based on the excellent reviews, i booked a room which is in fact a few streets from the Convention Centre and a few streets down will be Jim's Steak which i visited twice during my stay. A very safe location for a single girl like me and the room was clean and toilet facilities... more

I was looking forward to our stay here, but it did not live up to the glowing reviews. The positives: Inexpensive for a big city. Well located for touring. The neutral: Some staff was helpful, otheres were not. The guy that was often there in the evening wasn't terribly helpful. We asked the best way to get somewhere and he... more

This hotel lived up to its' expectation. I saw this hotel on the website for the Philly Chamber of Commerce and decided to take a chance. Indeed I was surprised. I was going to be in town for four days and decided that this location seemed to be centrally located as this would be my first trip to the area.... more

I booked this hotel because of the reviews that I had read here. I stayed here with two friends for our 7th Annual Girlfriend Getaway. We loved this hotel, it is a small boutique hotel located in Center City. The room was small but it had two double beds. There is off-site parking at a discounted rate of $14, and... more

The Alexander Inn is a great hotel. Our stay there was perfect . The staff is wonderful - very friendly and helpful. We were able to walk to all the historical sights and enjoyed walking throughout the neighbored where the Alxender Inn is located. Breakfast was good and the fresh flowers on the table were an added touch. We have... more

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in a deluxe corner room and we loved it. It was well worth the little extra cost for this room by the sound of things from an earlier review. The staff are really friendly and helpful. You have free internet access on 2 computers downstairs on basement level. Great for those... more

I spent one night in that quite and clean location downtown Philadelphia. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything is in walking distance to the hotel. You can leave your car in the garage. Only the complimentary breakfast wasn't as various as expected. more
