Ever since their big renovation sweep years ago, I've been a fan of Hampton Inns. Decor and condition of the room is always consistent. Staff are generally helpful. Pricing is usually right down the middle. Internet is always free. This hotel fit right in with my other experiences. The rooms were clean and as spacious as you can expect. No... more

I've stayed in hotels all over Philadelphia. This time, I needed to be slightly more economical than I have been in the past. So, I stayed at the Hampton Inn. It was a very good choice, not only for the price (I received a very good rate through a Travelzoo offer) but, as others have pointed out, the hotel is... more

It's the first time I've stayed at a Hampton. Have to say, very impressed. Stayed here for four nights. Fully agree with earlier posts. Good sized rooms, bed incredibly comfortable, staff very helpful, everything very clean. Ideally located for city centre. On the down side, with the time difference, after a long flight from the UK, it was a real... more

Stayed here for a long weekend to visit the historic sights in Philly. Construction on street made it very difficult to get to it easily. Race Street was closed , even sidewalk . Must have circled block several times to figure out how to get to it. FYI -parking is $20 a day to park in lot across the street.... more

I spent a short week there attending for a medical comference. The hotel is well situated although some big building process on Race Street (avoid this side of the building), but very close to the center. Clean and comfortable rooms, well furnished breakfast, quiet, nice staff. The beds are particularly comfortable. A good and nice place to stay for a... more

Was here on business. Is good for just your basics. Was clean and fairly comfortable. Nothing too spectacular. Would stay elsewhere if this was not booked for me. Staff was friendly enough. There is nothing good around to walk to if you are looking for some place to go in the evening. I think there are better choices in Philly. more

The Hampton Inn Philadelphia Convention Center is located in Center City Philadelphia. If you are familiar with Philadelphia, you know that it is not like NY and has a different atmosphere. Attractions as well as places to eat are scattered all over the city. We are within 5 blocks of all the Historical Attractions, two blocks from Maggianos, the Melting...

All Staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. The cleanliness of the room was the main problem, definately needed a good hoover and both the valances were soiled yak, thankfully, nothing we actually had to sleep on or next too. On the second night of our stay the fire alarm went off at 3am and despite being allowed back inside the... more

This Hampton is directly across from the rear side of the Philadelphia Convention Center. Walk a block and you are at its main entrance and right by Reading Terminal Market. All the historical sites are within walking distance as is plenty of shopping and restaurants. Valet parking is $20/day. Right now hotel pricing might be favorable as the convention center... more

With my daughter about to go to college at University City, on the west part of Philadelphia, my wife and I booked the Hampton Inn acroos the Convention Center because it looked pretty central to all the attractions of Philadelphia (very important if you don't have a car). The hotel is just two blocks from Reading Market and the subway... more
