I thought this hotel was wonderful. The area was most certainly not run down-the liberty bell was 5 minutes away! There was good food and bars either walking distance or a cab ride away. The cont breakfast was large and the free cookies offered were marvelous after a long night out! The lobby area and rooms were small but cozy... more

The most horrible hotel stay experience in my life. Please believe in the few negative reviews of this hotel. Its location is not idea since it is in a fairly run down area of downtown Philly. I did not feel safe walking around the hotel at night or from the "hotel parking" two blocks away. But this is the least... more

The hotel is ideal for seeing the historical areas of downtown. Philadelphia. Everything is within about a 4 block radius. The building is old, but the interior is excellent. Our room was small compared to the more modern hotels - but it was sufficient for our needs. Even with the $15/day refrigerator. The staff are very friendly and helpful. One... more

We booked a 3 night stay (Friday - Monday) over Columbus Day weekend. We traveled to the city by train so we had no issue with the lack of parking. We found the front desk to be very friendly. Our room was not ready so they stored our luggage in a small closet. We came back later in the day... more

Absolutely loved the stay at the Best Western! Travelling for business, but the front desk staff made it feel like a vacation! Particularly loved the weekend staff duo, Chris and Hanna. They were extremely knowledgeable and a blast to talk to! I don't see how anyone could give this place a negative review, everyone from management to housekeeping were friendly... more

We were two adults and sons age 16 and 20. We stayed for two nights and it was a good experience. The hotel feels small and consequently personalised. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable, clean and plenty big enough. Breakfast was plentiful and the cholesterol loaded make-your-own waffles were particularly popular. It was slighly disconcerting... more

I've never had such a terrible experience. We checked into the hotel at 9 p.m. Friday night and was given a double bed room next to elevator which was so noisy and then when we tried to check out at 1:30 p.m. next day, they charged us $60 extra over an already overpriced rate of $169. The attitude of the... more

I couldn't believe that this place exists. It wasn't easy to get reservations but now I understand why. It's located across the street from "Our nation's birthplace". The hotel was charming. I was there for a meeting but made a reservation prior to my departure for a return visit with my wife. I go to the city often and I... more

Our party of three adults and three older children (ages 12-17) stayed here for two nights after reading Trip Advisor reviews. Thank you everyone! The location for seeing the historical sites is absolutely perfect and it is surrounded by restaurants. It is on a fairly quiet street as cities go - the same street in fact as Independence Hall, just... more

We stayed just 2 nights at the Best Western Independence Park Hotel in Philadelphia. This hotel is indeed in the heart of the historic district and within steps of many outstanding dining options. It was a perfect home base for our exploration of center city. The hotel itself was accurately represented on Trip Advisor, via the reviews, descriptions and photos.... more
