I stayed at the rittenhouse for 3 nights in October and it felt like home. The hotel has that old world charm with all the new ammenities a current traveler would want: flat screen tvs, high speed internet, etc. The strawberries and champagne were a plus! The staff was so friendly too. I didn't want to leave. more

AAA is being bribed to continue issuing the five star rating to this tired hotel! The rooms are like something out of the set of Dynasty, in desperate need of updating. Service was poor. Housekeeping did not have our room back to us until well past 4:00PM. The spa is dingy and univiting, with noisy treatment rooms and locker rooms... more

I found this hotel had the little extras that marked he difference between an adequate hotel and a special one. It starts with the desk clerk who is especially friendly and says hello to you by name throughout the stay. Then there is the complementary champaign and chocolat pre-dinner snack in he lobby. Also our room was quite inexpensive ($230)... more

We stayed at the Rittenhouse for 3 days with our 3 year old twins. The staff was just great, whatever we needed we got. My girls were very happy to get their toys from the chest and also cookies in the evening. The room was spotless but they could have had better blankets. On our last day they offered us... more

I am currently staying at the Rittenhouse right now. I booked two nights with the hotel and supposedly got upgraded to 600 sq foot room. Room is NOT as advertised - small design and tired feel. Lucia - manager on duty is inflexible as to upgrading me to accommodate my complaint but did offer to take an additional 350.00 for... more

We booked a quick weekend getaway with our family (3 kids ages 12, 5, 3). The location was fabulous. Rittenhouse Square is so beautiful to look at and walk through on our way to all the sights. We found it to be very centrally located. As soon as we arrived, my kids were taken to a treasure chest of toys... more

I didn't read the hotel reviews until after I'd booked. This was to be a special mini R&R; imagine how disappointing it was to read the negative and so-so reviews of what is reputed to be the best hotel in Phila and one of the best in the US. Within about 3 seconds of arriving, I wondered whether the reviewers... more

My husband and I have stayed here for business and pleasure multiple times over the past several months. While I would go back again, I do agree with some of the other user's comments. The location of the hotel and size of the rooms are what keeps us coming back. You don't feel shoved into a small hotel room like... more

My family and I recently stayed at the Rittenhouse. Other than generous size bedrooms and bathrooms the hotel was a bust. Expensive w/o the 5 star service. Typically, we stay at the Ritz but thought that we would try something different. The stay at the Rittenhouse helped us remember 'why' we typically opt for the Ritz. At the Philly Ritz... more

The only thing that makes your hotel titled so, is it’s location…the view is spectacular….and that’s about where it ends. The 1st room we were given smelled like smoke…while that was rectified, the cleanliness of the given room didn’t improve. I should start by saying that the alarm clock was probably never dusted since it’s been put in the room.... more
