We were greated by a woman who seemed to be doing it all, but never identified herself as the owner. I have been to many B&B's and you always seem to have the personal touch of meeting the owners, as they seem to be 'doing it all'. Our room was very nice, loved the fireplace since we were there in... more

I stayed at Celie's for two nights when the Red Sox were in town. I chose the least expensive room and got what I paid for. Room 7 is small but pleasant. No writing table but good for a short stay. The room is down the entry corridor and gets some street noise and talking noise as the other guest... more

I stayed at Cecil's with a group of friends in one of the large suites. It had a full kitchen and dining area. The rooms were large and it felt like an actual apartment. I enjoyed my stay very much and the location was great. We got to enjoy the inner harbor and fells point for a great price. Most... more

As a person who frequents B&Bs, I must say, this was one of the worst I ever stayed in. To begin with, I never even met the owners and the staff I did encounter bordered on being rude! The place was practically a dump: carpets were worn out and looked as if they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, scuff marks... more

Thoroughly enjoyed a recent 3 night stay at Celie's. Yes, its pricey but less expensive than hotels in the Inner Harbor. Fells Point is a great little neighborhood and is an easy walk to the Inner Harbor attractions. Owner and staff were very friendly, breakfast is basic but sufficient, rooms are beautiful, very comfortable, clean, and quiet. Room refrigerator with... more

We just returned home after a two night stay. What you are paying for here is location and cleanliness. It is a charming inn and well kept. However, the staff was cool and reserved bordering on unfriendly. And the breakfast, which I had thought was a significant part of a B and B, was very disappointing. Re-reading the description they... more

We stayed one night in the middle of the week at Celie's and paind $245 which is really, really over priced. The instuctions on the print out from the web site are quite militant in tone about what can and can't be done which sort of sets the tone. Check in was an issue as there was no one at... more

As anyone who owns or operates a small inn knows, we do not have staff. It is just us. So when we can steal a few minutes to run desperately needed errands we take that opportunity. This particular review is misleading on many accounts. We were back in 5 minutes and they had not waited that long, The answering machine...

We have stayed at Celie's several times-the last being on February 17, 2007 for a late Valentine's Day weekend. This bed and breakfast hasn't received the best reviews, and I'm not sure why. We've had nothing but pleasant memories and a great time while visiting Fells Point. I can understand that a bed and breakfast may not be for everyone.... more

My husband and I stayed here while I was in Baltimore on business. We booked a room for $169...steep, but justifiable given its location and $7 parking. The Inn provided good security, with a combination locked gate opening into the 'courtyard' and a key required for entry into the hotel. The Innkeeper was a young woman who was helpful and... more

Celie's has a beautiful location in Fell's Point, near the waterfront, within easy walking distance of the water taxis that can take you to the National Aquarium and other sites. We've stayed at numerous B&Bs and independent accomodations, and we just felt like Celie's gives it 75%, rather than 100. For example, they are located right next to the Daily... more
