This is a quaint old place. The websites (including Trip Advisor) make it difficult to fully get the "vibe" of it. First, we had no problems with the staff. Everyone was polite and accommodating. This was a good place to stay for my husband and I while attending a convention at the Morial Convention Center and spending some time sightseeting. Stayed there for the Sugar Bowl. Very close to the Superdome, about a 10 minute walk. Took the streetcar which stops right in front of the hotel to Canal Street to go to the French Quarters. If you want to be close to the French Quarters and to where all the action is, then you should stay on Canal Street.... more
