We can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. The on site free parking was the real drawing card for us as well as the price of the room. The room was very nice, clean and fresh in every way. We had a little trouble getting accessing the Internet on my husband's laptop but the desk staff was very... more

I had always wanted to stay at Le Richelieu, but it was usually booked for my visits. Fortunately, they had rooms available this time. I booked 2 rooms, a single queen and double double for the very excellent prices of $130/nt and $140/nt, respectively. When we arrived and were given the room keys, we found we had been assigned rooms... more

We stayed in the Richlieu for 4 nights - not only is it very convenient for the French Quarter, it is also really near the bars where the locals go. The staff were, with one exception, very helpful. We had to move rooms as we stayed an extra night and they were most apologetic and gave us a room with... more

Since this hotel was rated quite highly, I expected a lot more than we got. The room was dingy, poorly decorated with cheap furniture, drapes and bedspread, bed was spongy. The bathroom was falling apart, which made it hard to give it points for cleanliness, even though I am quite certain it was cleaned well. The halls and elevator are... more

My husband and I decided to book the Le Richelieu because of all the positive reviews on TA. We were able to check in early and the staff was so welcoming. We loved our room and private balcony. The hotel is located so close to everything that we just walked and took the streetcars everywhere. We did have a drink... more

We loved this old hotel and the location. It was ideal. We visited with our four kids and got connecting rooms which turned out to give us an apt. suite with two bedrooms and an great livingroom (and even a kitchen area with a full size fridge). For the price and location, it can not be beat. more

My husband and I just spent 4 nights at Le Richelieu based on all the positive reviews that we had seen on TripAdvisor. Overall, we had a great stay and were very pleased with the staff at the hotel, the rooms, the free parking, and the free internet. Due to the recent hurricanes, New Orleans was pretty quiet while we... more

My friend and I were scheduled to go to New Orleans this weekend. With the possibility of a hurricane hitting the area, we decided against it at the very lat minute. We called to cancel our reservation and expected to pay at least one night of the stay and possibly the whole thing. Much to our surprise, the woman at... more

This was a first visit to New Orleans for myself, husband and 14 year old daughter. We researched French Quarter Hotels extensively before booking at Le Richelieu. We arrived before check in time and went to the front desk. They gave us a parking ticket and we were able to park our car in the free hotel parking lot before... more

After researching hotels for our multiple day trip (weekend through weekday), I found Le Richelieu in the French Quarter was suitable for our needs- close proximity to sites, guarded FREE parking, pool, and positive reviews. Upon checking in and walking around, we were NOT disappointed! The staff was accomodating, even letting us check in an hour early, and recommended a... more
