We booked our stay at the St Vincent Guesthouse by looking at the pics online, reading the amenities (which REALLY need updating), and by the previous experience of the parent of my son's roommate. For all you out of towners, this is a fine neighborhood. So many people have written it is a shady neighborhood, but Magazine Street is just fine... don't wander into places you don't know at night and you'll be ok.
