I would agree, this hotel has a dorm like feel but the room was clean, and the staff very friendly. The location really makes it above average for me, right in the heart of Harvard Square. For one night it was great. more

Noisy, with a dorm-like feel. Battered furniture, terrible mattress. My thermostat didn't work, so they moved me to another room, where it didn't work either--you think they would have checked. I'm sure this is cheaper than other area hotels and might be worth it from that standpoint, but I suggest doing a thorough search before booking here. more

The Harvard Square area is good location for visiting Boston. Traffic getting into the hotel is a little hectic since roads are being fix and traffic routing around the entrance. I anticipated a terrible experience based on the reviews; but the hotel was a pleasant surprise. My room was not facing the main road; it had a flat screen tv, bath and body works toiletries and the location is brilliant and much cheaper than all the hotels in the area and most of Boston. Good location for Cambridge, nice people, nice rooms. Enjoyed the LCD tv, and the room was a decent size. The airconditioning broke down for a day, which is probably indicative of the building's age, however it was pretty good all up. more

This hotel was convenient to Harvard and the Harvard red line station. No breakfast, but small clean rooms with helpful staff. There was a parking fee. Internet access in the lobby (cahrge). Overall it was good value for the money. more

Stayed here in April 2007 and, around 7PM, had the sink back up with gray water when the room next door flushed the toilet. It took over 30 minutes for maintenance to come to the room and clean up. No one offered another room for me to stay. Then, at 10PM, it did it again and maintenance still had not... more
