After flying into Falcone Borsilino airport we picked up our rental car and drove to Castellammare del Golfo to recover from jet-lag and enjoy the beach. In my opinion, a hotel must meet certain basic criteria in order to be considered for a revisit. The bed, pillow, and linens must be comfortable; the room must be quiet enough to sleep in; and it must be clean. Al Madarig meets all these criteria, and I would consider another stay. Good modern hotel on a piazza overlooking the bay. The hotel was quiet when we visited and they gave us one of their best rooms - a sea view on the top (2nd) floor.
