Firstly, the hotel IS beautiful. It is a grand building and the public areas are majestic. What let the whole thing down for us was the service. The only thing I can conclude is that we didn't tip heavily enough. We're from Northern Ireland and tipping is not common practice here.( We're not stupid and fully realise it is there.)... more

We had a smaller room, but it was a delightful experience. The little extras they do at the Jefferson make the stay very enjoyable. I would recommend it to everyone. Coffee service in the morning and cookies and cider in the afternoon in the lobby. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. more
