My second time for Cape Sable Island Cottages and what a wonderful time I had !! Last year my kids and I spent Christmas Holidays here and it was one of the best celebrations we've had but this time I wanted to pack a few things and go down for the weekend by myself to unwind, relax, read and enjoy... more

Very well appointed cottages - we didn't do much outside due to bad weather. Very clean, comfortable, all the amenities. Dn't let their website scare you -- it looks very "holy" but it isn't a religious retreat or anything. Do get provisions before going out -- only takeout available nearby. Also bring kindling. They supply wood but we struggled to... more

Free firewood and kindling are always available. Kindling is kept at the office- please just inquire and we are always happy to bring an armload down to your cottage.

My family and I decided to do something totally different for the holidays and after searching the internet for accommodation options here in Nova Scotia we decided to book a cottage on Cape Sable Island. There website was most appealing and after a bit of consideration we went ahead and booked. We had a great time and were very pleased... more
