Way over priced for what you get!!! There's got to be better options. Rooms are really outdated. Super basic, no charm. It was clean and located next to the very small strip of town in Franz Josef. If you don't have a car I wouldn't stay outside the main area. The glacier is amazing and totally worth the hike, but... more

Dirty towels and a bed that had not been changed - give this one a miss - staff totally uninterested in the fact that room had dirty linen. The guy next door slept really well we could hear him snoring through the paper thin walls. more

We stayed one night at this in town Motel. The room was dormitory- like but clean and well appointed. the bathroom was clean and well fitted. Biggest problem was all the buses and bus people. They left very early in the morning with much noise from the passengers and buses idling. They had idling buses no more than 10 feet... more

Having read other reviews we had zero expectations but were pleasantly relieved to see it was “OK”. Nothing exceptional, but it had everything we needed and the staff were pleasant enough. As previously reported through Tripadvisor the rooms were not ready until 4:30pm, which was disappointing. In their defence the hotel appears to be “staging post” for coaches so each... more

We chose this hotel as it was part of a chain and usually that brings some standards. But from the rude reservations guy, (who forgot to record our wake up call for the next morning) to the miserable double-sized bed, (that he insisted was a queen-size), and the dried out continental breakfast, I would stay give this place a wide... more

Hard not to stay here when in this area, which is a shame because the quality of the hotel really detracts from the wonderful setting of the National Park. Since lodging is so limited in this area, this big hotel pretty much is the 500 pound gorilla. The rooms are tiny, uninviting, and even uncomfortable. The bathrooms are a joke...I... more

The room was big and ideal for chill out space. Excellent and speedy service by maintenance team when light was reported out. Laundry room was well kept and modern machinery. Even got early check-in without any trouble. more

Awful hotel in a stunning location so my advice would be stay somewhere else in town. The hotel is old and rundown , it is in need of a totally refurbishment. The rooms which are butlins style chalet rooms in blocks of about 20, are tiny and uninviting with paperthin walls, The bathrooms are so tiny you can only just... more

A no frills hotel in a delightful location, situated as it is close the mountainous glacier region. Rooms clean if functional rather than luxurious although air-conditioning and room safe not present. Tea making facilities provided however. The porter service was excellent with my cases arriving at the room before I did! Breakfast was a standard buffet affair and unexceptional while... more

We checked in at dusk with huge baggage and the receptionist did not even inform us how to get to the rooms well. Besides, the bell boy was supposed to help us carry our bags by, but... in vain. This hotel is simply over priced and way over rated. You might most definitely land up here if you have booked... more
