I just got an e mail from my client at the Ilikai and wanted to forward this disapointing review. I use Trip Advisor every day and chose this property based on recent comments. I checked in to the Ilikai last night 20Nov. It's a pretty run down place and not at all like the pictures on the website. They have... more

The Ilikai is a landmark on the western edge of Weiki Beach. We had beach access, and a very large room with ocean view. The bed was awesome, the showers tiled and roomy. We felt we picked the best place for us - a little out of the way for the downtown Weikiki shopping and much less crowded. Tours and... more

We stayed at the Ilikai Hotel, room 2031 in the Ilikai Tower, for seven nights beginning October 16, 2008. We had a deluxe ocean courtyard hotel room with full-size kitchen appliances. Upon arrival, we were given a complimentary upgrade to a renovated room. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and the view from the lanai was to die for. To... more

Background- My wife and I wanted something with relative proximity to Waikiki Beach and at a reasonable price given what Honolulu can offer. Also, we love to walk and did not necessarily need to be beach front. Location- We rented a condo on the 6th floor (unit 684). The location of the condo section of the Ilikai is on the... more

I read all the reviews several times prior to my trip and was a little apprehensive when going. However, when I arrived we had no issues that were previously addressed. Yes, there is construction going on, but 1) I didn't hear a thing 2) there is construction going on in every part of the city. We had a beautiful room... more

I stayed in a renovated city view studio booked through Shell vacations for much less than the hotel room I'd stayed in 15 years ago at the same location. Though located in Ilikai hotel, it is Waikiki Marina Resort managed through Shell vacations. Ilikai property is divided into timeshares, hotel, apts. I found the low rate promo on travelzoo. I... more

After a horrific one night stay at the Waikiki Gateway Hotel (which I do not recommend to anyone!) we decided to stay the remainder of our trip at the Iikai. The rooms were large with a nice comfy bed! We had a great view of the beach. Although there was construction going on behind the hotel we could not hear... more

Just returned from a trip to Hawaii and we stayed four nights at the Ilikai. Two nights at beginning of trip, two nights at end of trip. The setting was beautiful, the room was wonderful. Yes, there was construction, but everywhere we stayed on 3 different islands we experienced construction. We found the location to be very convenient and the... more

First off, I was surprised to see that this hotel had reviews that were way different than mine. This hotel was horrible. I recently came back from my honeymoon which we stayed for 7nights @ The Ilikai. We were expecting a 4star hotel where we could relax and have a good time in Waikiki. BIG MISTAKE 1. The first two... more

Prior to staying at the Ilikai, I had read many of the reviews. I must admit I was concerned about what we would find. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a newly remodeled room with a view of the Hyatt Lagoon and the Ocean beyond. The room was quite beautiful. It was a studio with a kitchen. Stainless steel appliances,... more
