Only had a long weekend for our mini-moon and chose the Feathers. Very nice hotel, accommodation and food lovely. Only thing that spoiled our stay was the noise - they had 2 functions on over the weekend. Had a three night stay which included dinner. Hotel is perfectly located on the market square with parking at the rear. Room had all we needed and was clean. Just returned from a very cosy weekend away. We were paticularly impressed with the manageress, waitresses and bar staff ,all were "genuinely" friendly. Booked for a two night break just before Christmas but had to check out after one night because of the noise from the disco in the function room which went on until 01:00 am. We have just stayed in this pub/hotel in Helmsley, North Yorkshire. I just wanted to write a review as the staff were wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. There are quite a few pubs in Helmsley, which i confess i did try to find accomodation in before trying the feathers, but im so glad we eventually stayed in this hotel instead.... more
