Sommellier needs to read thier own wine list and be able to make reccomendations, she could not. What a stunning disappointment. Auberge is a member of Chateau and Relaix - which sets a high bar for service and quality. In my experience C&R restaurants consisently "blow you away." The lobster cake with white corn soup is one of the most delicious dishes I've ever tasted; the corn is so sweet, the soup perfectly seasoned. Everything is well cooked and attractively plated, but the soup is the most memorable. Portions are a decent size for an upscale restaurant. We were full halfway through the main course! Expensive. But going for a sunday lunch is probably the best idea on a week end trip in Nappa. Love the view, the food is really good too. But you definitly go there for the view and... to be seen! more
