Paris opera tickets |
|
I'll be in Paris in November and am planning on going to the Opera Bastille. On their website, tickets are available in a really wide range of prices, from 5 euros on up (and up). I can't figure out what the difference is, or if the cheaper prices are available to everyone. Can anyone help? I'd like to see a couple different performances, but I'm also price-conscious. Thanks! |

Hi; Ticket prices change according to perfomance and seating. Not all prices are available for all productions. For example Verdi's Rigoletto in production from end of September until November has tickets on various days from 35 euros to 135 euros. If ordering on the website: operadeparis.fr/Saison-2008-2009/… you need to first click on the performance you want. It will open to a page asking for your Client ID# and if you do not have one there is a link that says" If you do not have an ID click here. You then register and after taht it takes you to a page that shows which sections of the theater are at what price for that performance... Once you get to the reservation section it allows you to choose a language so you cen then do it in English if preferred.

Hi Excuse me. The link I sent in the last post, on that page it says "par Internet" as one of the selections under "Comment reserver" That's the one that takes you to the selections for the season, then go from there....

Oh, that's great. Thanks for your help. I hadn't gotten that far into the site, and my French is okay but not the greatest, so it's good to know it does translate into English at some point! Thanks a lot.

The price depends on performance and position. If you want to see best, then the closer the better. If you want to hear best, then the top of the 2nd balcony is best but you're very far from the stage. Some seats in categories 6 & 7 in the 1st balcony & parterre don't have views of the French surtitles.
