We have stayed here several times over the past few years since it opened and it has never disappointed. The hotel is as clean as the day it opened.

We had occasion to stay here twice recently and both times we were impressed. The rooms and all common areas are always clean. The breakfast area could use some more staff to clean up during busy times, but it's more than offset by the free breakfast offered every morning.

We booked our rooms a few weeks in advance online. During our second stay, I heard the girl at the front desk tell a walk-in customer that the hotel was fully booked, but we never encountered any "bumping" or overbooking issues.

For our first stay we booked a two-queen bed room, which was great. On the way back they gave us the 4th floor suite and man o'man, it was GREAT. We hadn't planned on spending that much money for the night but I'm glad we got the suite even if we didn't have a choice.

The hotel has a business centre with a computer and printer and a pool. The pool is a bit small, but who cares as it is not meant to be a resort.

We look forward to staying here everytime we are in Saskatoon. The management and staff obviously make an effort to keep the place ship shape and it shows.

Stayed at the HI Express due to its convenient location to downtown. We had a suite and it was terrific. It had a couch, table and chairs, and tv. We were able to close the french doors after the kids went to sleep and did not have to worry about waking them up. Would stay here again.

Went to Saskatoon for a business trip. Had originally booked for a week. Checked into first floor and started to unpack. I am not sure what was going on that weekend, but there was a lot of kids and teenagers in the hotel. My room window faced directly into the pool. Lots of kids in the pool = loud noise. The room next to me had teens yelling and blaring music. After 30 minutes I realized this will not work. Called front desk, and they had a room on the 3rd floor for me right away. Great service. Unfortunately my trip was cut short, so I had to check out early, the girl at the counter double checked with me as the hotel was booked solid, and wanted to make sure that I would not be coming back last minute and be out of luck. I will be coming back to this hotel again in a few weeks and look forward to their service. Rooms are decent, breakfast was good. Price very reasonable.

Everything about the hotel itself was positive--just as the other reviews say. BUT, despite having reserved three rooms six weeks in advance, and then confirmed a late arrival by phone the day our party
was to arrive, when we checked in at 11:30 PM there were only two rooms available, not the three we had booked and confirmed by credit card. Because of a conference, there were no other hotel rooms available in the entire city. The staff was apologetic, and explained
that "hotels are like airlines: we overbook." Apparently Holiday Inns central reservations, not the local hotel, did this overbooking,
expecting "no-shows." The problem was made up to us--the first night in the two available rooms was free. Other travellers might be surprised to learn, as I was, that you can be "bumped," in spite of your very best efforts to ensure that a room will be awaiting you on arrival.
