“The best Hotel I have stay in.”

When we arrived at the Hotel, what can I say it gleams. The reception area is very impressive. The staff never stop cleaning. The room was big and very clean. The bed was really comfortable.
The food was fantastic, something for everyone, my partner is a very fussy eater but enjoyed everything he ate. Although it did get very busy in the restaurant some times but we weren't in a rush to get anywhere.
Its a very laid back hotel for the guests anyway, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were so friendly and polite.
We went to cairo by air which was brilliant and on the VIP cruise which also was a great day out well worth the money. We also had a massage in the Hotel Spa that was very relaxing and again worth the money. If you are looking to be treated well and a bit of luxury this is the place to go.

went on a dream holiday on the 4th august 2008 stayed at the 5 star hotel jaz mirabel beach. When we walked in to the reception we thought yes it looks like a 5 star very nice, we where given wrist bands as it is all inclusive. The rooms are nice and clean but we got a shock when we went into the resturant the food and staff our of a 3star.we ate there on tuesday 5/08/008 the waiters would not leave my 12 year old daughter alone so i complained and was asked to speak to guest relations i did this and she laughed. The next day wednesday we ate there again my daughter did not like the attention she was getting i asked a waiter to leave her alone, that night i woke up at about 2am vomitting and the other, my daughter the n awoke and son and husband we spent the next 2 weeks fighting for the toilet. my husband went to the reception to ask for a doctor he was told to go to the pharmacy attached to the hotel he give us a lot of tablets that we had not heard of. we took all of these tablets with no affect i had taken immodium plus and also alkaselza from home they did not help. The symptotoms we had where vomiting,
bad diarrhoea, bad abdominal pain like some one sticking a knife in to us,hot and cold sweats. I thought i was dying my husband tried to get us on a flight home early but was unable to do this. we had booked a trip to cairo we decided after sitting on the toilet for so long we would go still feeling unwell this was a big mistake we were getting picked up at 4a.m on our way out the hotel staff were cleaning the floors which is made of marble i slipped and fell down i felt stupid and got up and limped on to the coach by the time we got to the airport my ankle had swollen up like a pudding.I told the guide he said we will get some thing for me in cairo this did not happen. A english couple on the coach from sunderland give me some of there strong painkillers to help me through the day .i no longer could run to the toilet i had to hop. the trip became a waste because i could not keep up with the rest of the group we decided to just sit back on the coach. The diarrhoea continued it was embarrising on the plane we spoke to other english people who also where suffing and the rep just told every one its just the change of weather. I took all the precautions we all had injections before we travelled we did not have icecubes in our drinks we only had bottled water, we did not have the salad and we did not touch the fruit as advised by my doctors . I think we have had a bad case of food poisoning on the way home on the 18th august it was just as bad my 7yr old was sick all the way home and yes we had to take it in turns for the toilet. As soon as we got home i contacted my gp as i was quite worried about my young children, today is the 27th august and myself and my daughter still have the cramps my husband is unwell and my son is now just getting back to normall i have contacted pannone solicitors regarding the holiday we did not have. This has put us off ever returning to egypt we felt there was no one to turn to.

“Great hotel!”

Jaz Mirabel Beach

We stayed at this hotel from 10 Aug 2008 for 11 days and all in all, it was well worth the price. We came as 2 families, 4 adults, 4 children. Lots of activities for adults, but lacking in this department for teenagers. Our kids are 12, 13 and 14 and they were lucky that they had each other's company as apart from swimming there was not much else for them to do. There is a kids club for under 12s. There are some waterslides at the resort which also kept them entertained. The animation team were fantastic and work very hard with their various activities during the day and evenings. Food was good to begin with, no tummy upsets, after 11 days of the same thing though, it got extremely tedious. The hotel has tried very hard to offer varying food with different themes, however, the taste is not any different from one night to another. Service in the hotel depended on whether you were friendly with the staff and waiters. I would recommend a tip and for a small amount, you will be given exceptional service. The beach is ok, there is no jetty at the hotel which means if you wanted to go snorkelling, it is your responsibility to venture out on your own. All in all the hotel itself was very good, but not much to do outside. Naama Bay is 30 min taxi ride away. I would recommend this hotel for those people with younger children and those that want to stay in the hotel and relax - not venture out too much. Thank you to those staff that looked after us - Mohammed, Ezzat and Tassen in the restaurant, Ali, who cleaned our rooms and the animation team.

“hotel was lovely shame about some of the guests”

just got back from 2 weeks holiday , well the hotel was lovely and so where the staff but as for some of the other guests and i dont mean the english ones, how rude can some people be and talk about flash the cash to get a better service and whats with the italians getting their own kids club we just would not get away with it. The food is ok but after the sixth day it got very boring same meat but different sauces. The power cuts started to get very annoying as well. Dont expect to be entertained too much because there aint much .This is not a holiday for young children either simply because there is nothing for them to do except go in the swimming pools all day . The weather was great but hot if the air con was not working in the rooms or restaurants. Not a place i will revisit.

“Jaz Mirabel Beach - Great family holiday”

Jaz Mirabel Beach

Aug 23, 2008

Our family stayed in the Jaz Mirabel Beach for 1 week All-inc (2x rooms) 14th-21st Aug but wish we booked at least 10 days as by the time we unwound/found our way around the hotel (and our preferred restaurants) that took a couple of days to find..

Rooms: We had a family room each and next door - good view, very clean, Ahmed made incredible 'surprises' from our beach towels for the children (aged 5-9) bless him..
Restaurants: As in most All inclusive, was a bit 'mad' at peak times...(after 9am & 7.30 pm) other nationalities (not Brits of course!) pushing in etc,, however food was very good - lots of choice (and some cooked fresh for you at some counters) once you get into the swing it's great. We preferred the restaurant that required gents to wear trousers in the evening (on the right as you leave reception, facing the pools) and the pool bar on the right near reception at lunchtime (swimwear ok) as it was a novelty to order & have lunch served as opposed to fighting & helping yourself - i mean queueing, in the main restaurants...!
Drinks: I'm a chardonnay girlie but found the rose ok, my parents also liked the rose and the red. Beer pretty good too, my hubby found the vodka & coke better than our last hotel in Sharm...cocktails safe bet also :o)
Pools: Early bird catches the sunbed... as in most hotels..as there were 6 of us so the adults got up from 7-8am (in turns) and laid the towels down (felt v. german ;o) ) to ensure we got beds together. This sometimes wasn't early enough(!) to get the 'baby pools' as some families had beat us to it. however there were plenty of spaces at the big pools & I'm sure couples wouldn't have problems.
Beach: our last hotel had plenty of fish to snorkle with but we felt v. disappointed here. Lots of sunbeds/shade on beach and all Red Sea is coral so sea shoes are a must!!
Hotel In general: Very large hotel & grounds, so lots of walking - got to be fit (to walk off the food!) This was a good thing really as everything was spread out nicely (sunbeds, pools, different restaurants) it just takes a day or so to suss out what you like & where you want to sunbathe. Also VERY slippery - be careful!!
Staff: 50/50 some very pleasant and jokey - others... not :o)
The Egyptians love children in a friendly healthy way and our 2 had a great time
Trips: Main reason for visiting Sharm was diving as my husband & i had been before.. Dived with Ocean college this time(last time Camel) both v. good & lots to see (saw a family of eagle ray this time!! plus the usual fish (parrot, lion, puffa, nemo!..)
Whole family went snorkling on the 'Red Sea Cruise' Enjoyed by all except the 5 yr old so we took in turns to stay on the boat with him. Boat crew & food brill (and toilets!) - and saw dolphins to top it off.'Stars & dinner' brilliant if you are ok with the egyptian food (spiced rice, chicken etc..) Star gazing fantastic & Bedwin people v.friendly Quad biking in desert- my husband & Dad enjoyed - v hot & dusty but great fun.
Health: I had terrible tummy on our last visit (& for 2 months after!!) but the diving has enticed me back.. This time we all took Acidophulus tablets (health supplement to aid your gut when travelling..Health store or Boots) prior & during, and we avoided the salad, ice, chicken, unpeeled fruit and took antibacterial handwash for trips. Also took Rehydration sachets (Boots) to add to water if feel bit lightheaded which were brill as was v hot 39c. Some of us had dodgey tummy (or sharm sh*tes) for 1 day or so but otherwise were in good health unlike last time we visited Sharm. Drink LOTS of bottled water in the day!! Or help yourself from the water dispensers at the pool bars. Beer good in moderation in this heat during the day :o)
Spa: Jacuzzi, steam room & sauna - pretty hard to find..its near the tennis courts (right H side when leaving reception) but signposts are a bit 'wonky'.. Spa nice & relaxing though & cheapest massage GBP 30

Overall: We had fab time, but wish we had booked a little longer. Tips in general: Egyptian Pounds,& EURO main currency - they also accept USD. most tips to pay out are 20 Egyptian per tourist per person (camel person, driver, tour guide) GBP 2 Didnt visit Naama bay except Diving this time as didnt fancy haggling with the kids in tow..Cairo great trip (did last time) but long day, dirty city, awesome sites (take loo roll & handwash!)

Enjoy!!
