The hotel and grounds are clean and tidy.
Pools are numerous, but sunbeds difficult to find available as we found them to be reserved 5.00 a.m in the morning! This is something the hotel really needs to sort out. Better to use the private beach at Sonesta Beach where there is plenty of space.
Can be a bit of a hike if your room is down the far end so may not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.
Restaurant is very busy of an evening - best avoid eating at 8 p.m. but the waiters are very attentive - a small tip goes a long way! The food is a bit repetitive, but this is usual in every Egyptian hotel we have ever stayed in.
The all-inclusive drink selection in the bars is a bit limited, wine is only served by the glass, in the restaurant. Water bottles are available on a voucher system, if you run out of the 4 vouchers given you have to queue in Reception to get more.
The shop traders within the hotel grounds constantly harrass you to 'just look' - the only one who is OK is the one next to the perfume shop.
The beach at the Sonesta Club is well worth a visit - the snorkelling is excellent and the fishes amazing.
Sharm town centre is a definite experience, has an excellent selection of shops and restaurants, but be prepared to be hassled, firstly by the taxi drivers (don't pay more than 10 Egyptian Pounds and stress to the driver this is the total figure for every passenger, not each), then the traders. If you decide to walk (takes about 25 mins) it is best to take the promenade to avoid being hassled.
Don't bother with the Reps night out in Sharm, the drinks are very expensive.
The Adventure Safari trip is very good, has a variety of everything.
The Bedouin Dinner night is a waste of time and money - the show is exactly the same as one which is free from one of the hotels on the seafront and we did not expect the performing Arabian horse to be a pantomime horse.
Cleopark Waterslides - OK, good selection of slides but we were constantly hassled when on the sunbeds e.g. massages, drinks, food.
If we came back again we would stay in the Sonesta Beach (due to the better location) rather than the Sonesta Club.
