“Zouara full of Italians Beware”

Well were can I start , me and my partner came bk just a week ago . It was an experience. The staff are very friendly and always try to have a laugh and a joke. The rooms were clean and nice and so was the pool. The only thing wrong with the hotel was that it was full of italians . The food is italian , they all speak italian. They treated the italians like they were better then the english they got the nicer rooms they got drinks brought to them by the pool it was annoying . if you go all inclusive beware the all inclusive stops at midday so if you have a flight at 10pm you ahve to go without food or drink for 10 hours . There is a Mcdonalds just down the road , and it is alot cheaper then paying for the food in the hotel . I would recommend this hotel for couples and older familys . There isnt any entertainment and your half an hour away from anything so if you want a nice relaxing quiet hotiday this is for you .

well the hotel was clean, the pool was nice, and MOST of the staff where freindly. i will start with the arrival, it was a freindly aproach to us with a helpful man to take are bags, but this all changed on the second day most of the staff were polite but a few just had no ytime for the english but loads for the italians it was split magorly by the differant nationalitys but it was a fun experiance and ask about AYMAN he was a poor sample of a nice helpful work fource but i would go again if they re-think the class 3 star >> 3 star >>3 star shop around in sharm much better hotels try le strader very nice area of sharm! but dont be put off we loved it on a whole and go to the perfume shop VERY good time the 2 gentleman are great and the best two in sharm!!!! so dont be worried you will enjoy it and it is a nice hotelel (rooms great also)

The hotel looked OK at night, but by the light of day things were different. The staff were nice and friendly; the hotel although shabby was relatively clean. The restaurant however was dirty with flies that had not been cleaned up off the floor for days. The food was warm only the soup was hot and we basically ate that for the week.

My husband came down with the bug and really could not go anywhere far from a toilet.

I would not send my worst enemy to the hotel

Went to this hotel in id april, feeling slightly terrified about the terrible reviews.
Was pleasantly surprised, greeted upon arrival with cold squash and escorted to our rather large room that leads directly onto the swimming pool, was nice and cool!
The hotels swimming pool and gardens are beautiful, the staff are polite, remember your names and go out of their way to help you.
The food was only cold if you waited for three hours after it was served... if you went at the opening of meal times it was lovely and fresh. The chefs will go out of their way to help you as they lift up all the lids off the food as you peer into them or cook you fresh pasta if you like.
Plenty of salad, fresh bread, meat, vegetables and cakes\ a little fruit every meal time.
I will admit I was ill, but believe this was due to cleaning my teeth in the water one day by accident, as my partner ate the same stuff and was totally fine. Another big culprit of the trots in egypt is the money... its filthy. take a little bottle of antibacterial handwash with you and every time after touching the money use a little.
The dining room was lovely and clean and the waiting staff efficient.
My job is cabin crew and I stay in numerous hotels around the world, believe me this hotel isnt as bad as everyone makes out.
On the other hand.... the rooms do need a lick of paint... but they arent terrible or dirty, just need a bit of tlc.
Beds made daily, cleaner makes amazing little alligators and elephants and leaves them on your bed.
Next door is a bedouin tent, with the owner mohammed who will sit with you and talk whilst smoking a shisha pipe, playing a bit of music, serving tea or beer etc. Was actually good fun and we would often end up in there after a night in naama bay.
The beach is literally a fifteen min walk, or you can take the shuttle bus which is every fifteen minutes and free! walking into the sea its like a hot bath and there are fishes swimming around your feet, and starfish under all the rocks : D

Many people going to this hotel pay quite a cheap price then expect the same sort of hotel you would pay 800+ a week for in naama bay. Remember... you get what you pay for... plus id say a little more! : D

The hotel is out in the sticks... there is the night time bus that takes you into naama bay for 3 euros each and he will pick you up. Taxis try and charge you 100 egyptian pounds to get to town and the same back. 100 egyptian pounds is round 10 pounds gbp. The actual government price is 5 gbp, little maps in naama bay tell you that... remember agree a price for the number of ppl carried, not each! be insistent and haggle!! If theyre trying to charge you for air conditioning... tell em to naff off he he!!

Remember this is Egypt not the uk..... so expect the service and people to be different, that adds to the charm of the holiday!!

Bottled water is chargeable... but if you ask for a glass of water.... they give you a free bottle.... aha!
Have fun!!!

“Go here if you want to be ill and lose weight”

Zouara Hotel

Apr 25, 2008

what a dump, rooms not safe, food served on building bricks with 2 tea-tree candles underneath to try to keep the food warm, food always cold, there is no hot plate at all or cold plate for the salad. take your own glass otherwise you wont get a drink not that you would like one, they wash the glasses in dirty water, wipe them with a dirty towel and then wipe the bar top with the same towel, we had the runs for the 12 days we were there, there is no hygene, there is only 30 sun loungers for the whole place, the staff try a little to understand the english, but if your french russian itlaian spanish german your fine they can speak to them.THIS IS DEFINATLEY NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL it would really struggle to be a 1 star, we love Egypt been 5 times this is the worst dump ever, you cannot walk outside as your in the desert, you have to get the bus or taxi to the beach, the same for going to the supermarket, taxi job, hotel shop a big rippoff aftersun was £12.00 at the hotel, really expensive, you have to pay for snacks arround the pool and on the beach, and if your not careful they will make you pay for water, and anything else thats surpose to be all-inclusive. So if your thinking of going to Egypt make sure your on the beach, and we recommend the LAGUNA VISTA OR THE REGENCY PLAZE OR THE CONRAD these are 5 star well worth the money.Hygene is 5 star at these other hotels.
