My friends and I joined Dev's kayaking tour and cycling tour last week. The tours lived up to the raving reviews. The 3-hour cycling tour took the us through the plantations and forests in Langkawi, where we got to see different varieties of birds and plants. The 6-hr kayaking tour was headed by Dev himself. He is a conservationist who cares so much about the nature. We kayaked through the mangrove, visited a bat cave and had lunch at a fish farm where we had a chance to feed different kinds of fish (stingray, snapper etc.).

The best thing about the tours is that the tour guides are all knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the nature and the land. Forget about the watersports, these tours are what Langkawi is about.

We came to Langkawi in June, and had already put Dev's Tours on our itinerary for the trip from the reviews on Trip Advisor.

I have to say that it was one of the highlights of our trip! We took the mangrove tour and the Berjaya nature walk with Dev. The tours were wonderful and we saw a broad spectrum of wildlife.

Dev's passion for nature and wildlife was exuberant and reflected on all of us! Dev has great charisma and is an unforgettable character! He guides the tours personally and he is very well informed. He makes everyone feel welcome and treats everyone as an individual.

My 4 year old son adores him and asked him so many questions which Dev would take the time to answer.

I strongly recommend Dev's tours if you really have an appreciation for nature and wildlife.

We are recreational Birder's in the US so when we arrived on Langkawi we booked a tour with Dev to bird the rain forest and rice paddy areas. We had a great extended morning with Dev who was completely knowledgable and enthusiastic. I think he enjoyed the trip as much as we did as we found 42 species of birds to include 3 types of hornbills in the forest. Dev speaks perfect english, if you need that, and we found out that a little rain is a good thing as it brings the birds out into the open for better viewing. This tour was a highlight of our two week vacation.

We were in Langkawi in April for 2 weeks.

Through the reccomendations here on Trip Advisor, we booked Dev's tours for the mangrove kayaking and the rainforest trek.
The rainforest trek was really interesting, and hot work and well reccomended.
But the kayaking is truly one of the most amazing experiences of my life. We spent 4-5 hours out on the water, literally on our own. Our party was a group of five and we never passed a single tourist on our route around where the boats simply cannot reach.

Experience of a lifetime, and with the best guides imaginable. They even come and pick you up from your hotel even if youre the other side of the island.

You may get offered cheaper tours, but forget them, Dev is the way to go.
