“First Class Hotel”

InterContinental Hotel Buenos Aires

The InterContinental is first class starting from the reservation process and all the way throughout your stay. My stay was two fold: business and personal. On the business side I was completely impressed when I walked into their 5 star lobby. The meeting space was perfect for our business purposes and the service is impeccable. The outlets provide premier food and wines. To top it off the staff is friendly, warm, and welcoming.

Personally, I continued my trip and took advantage of seeing the beautiful sites of the fine city of Buenos Aires. The concierge pretty much took care of my entire itinerary. They made reservations at all the fine restaurants and booked the best Tango show in town for me.

I hope to one day visit Argentina again and there will be no doubt in my mind that I will stay at the InterContinental Buenos Aires Hotel.

“Amazing”

This was my second time to the hotel. My first was business related, this trip was a trip with some girlfriends strictly for fun. My stay was even more enjoyable at the hotel. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The property is gorgeous and the food is amazing. If you go to Buenos Aires, you must stay at this hotel, it truly is a wonderful experience.

The bartenders and waiters in teh restaurant and bar are so great. Not only is the service prompt but it is friendly and inviting, making a perfect begining or ending to any evening.

The food is unbeatable, while there are a host of fabulous restaurants throughout the city, you must eat at the Grill, it is amazing, one of the best if not THE BEST meal I had during my stay.

The rooms were well sized and extremely clean. The beds unbelieveably comfortable, actually more comfortable than my own. I slept wonderfully.

I highly recommend this hotel.

Check in was very fast, however rooms are far from great.

Internet is charged by a third party concession, absurd for suchhotel and per night prices. Food is okay, area not so comfy at night, somehow no taxis wait for passengers like any major hotel, the staff will call some taxi, they get a kickback, plenty American Airlines employees stay there, gym isn't free, pool isn't big for laps, but not small for relax, massage service unavailable the same day you must order with 72 hours notice ridicolous.
Hotel need a facelifting inside and out.

Some mold in the bathroom.

We stayed here as part of a pre-cruise package with Princess, and I must admit I was a little concerned after reading some of the comments on this site. However I must report that our experience was nothing but positive.

Check in went smoothly with pleasant friendly staff and our room on the 15th floor was great with wonderful city views. The room was spotlessly clean and looked to have been redecorated in the not too distant past.

The breakfast buffet also met our expectations with a good selection of hot and cold food available with smiley waitresses supplying all the hot drinks required. The hotel has several dining options available all of which serve good portions of tasty food, once again we found the wait staff to be friendly and helpful.

The only downside was the long wait for our bags,in fact I went and collected my own from the foyer.

Would I stay here again ? yes.

“Excellent experience overall w/ minor complaints”

Like most IC properties, the one in Buenos Aires offered an excellent experience overall. My friend and I stayed on the club level, on the 18th floor, which had an amazing view of the city, including a view of the Río de la Plata. I enjoyed the personalized service and attention. The beds were amazingly comfortable.

I disliked the pool -- it closes at 8:00pm and it's mostly useful for swimming laps rather than relaxing. The hotel also charges for internet, which seems ludicrous given the room rates and low cost of internet generally.

Finally, the hotel is located in Montserrat, which is a 10-15 min cab ride away from Palermo. This location makes it more ideal for business travelers than leisure travelers.
