Stayed here three nights out of six in Buenos Aires, and overall, a decent, but not great place.
Good Things:
- The hotel is right in the middle of the shopping district of BA. You just couldn't be any closer to it, right next to the Galeria Pacifico. It's a touristy area, but you can get your shopping done.
- Beautiful hotel, with cool art work and a nice restaurant.
- Great included breakfast
- Very comfortable bed
Not so great things:
- Very small room that was taller than it is wide. Really no room for suitcases. And the smallest, useless room save I have ever seen--and it uses a large key you have to check out .
- Very friendly staff with great English, but overall more friendly than helpful.
- Wireless Internet never worked in the room. They have two computers in their "business center", but you might have to wait in line.
- An expensive Ralph Lauren sweater disappeared from the room
- The hotel was undergoing interior construction, and one day a huge ladder stood in front of the room.
-Check-out at 10 am, without any flexibility. Pretty ridiculous. Again, not much help form the front desk.
Overall, not a bad choice, considering the location and price. But I probably would not stay there again, especially since there are a lot of hotels in the immediate area.
But do check out the nightly street tango performance at the corner of Florida and Lavalle. It's a few minutes from the hotel and simply amazing Tango. Much better than the "formal" Tango show I saw for US $80.
