This hotel is a real find, situated in the central shopping area around the Galleria and close to San Martin. We stayed three nights here. A modern hotel with striking art in public areas and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The ambiance is informal boutique with very professional service.

Reception staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them. Our friend spent 2 nights at the hotel on her own before she joined us and had nothing but praise for the way the staff helped her with queries and made her feel comfortable. Our stay was also made comfortable by the good service especially from the reception staff.

Breakfast was adequate and the bar area was fairly small with most space given over to a restaurant which was busy in the day time but not in the evening. Only one bad point - our laundry was not picked even though it had been put out, however our friends was picked up and returned. so perhaps we were unlucky.

I booked my stay at the Esplendor based on the positive reviews on Tripadvisor, and I am very glad that I did. The staff were exceptionally helpful, even when having to deal with my paranoid travel habits. Very warm welcome on arrival and departure. Was upgraded on arrival, to a lovely spacious room. Very well maintained. Very comfy bed, and had a great night's sleep (although had to keep the windows closed, as the street below would have been too noisy otherwise). Liked that it was centrally located, so walking around the area was easy.

I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends, and I will make sure I stay here again on a return to Buenos Aires.

Upon recommendation of our travel agent, we booked 5 nights at the Esplendor Buenos Aires. We checked in to the hotel and got settled in our room. We went out to explore BA for a few hours and upon our return discovered that an ipod (taken from a zipped bag) and charger had been stolen from our room. The extent of their investigation: we were told that a housekeeper was the only one that entered the room while we were gone and that she denied taking the items. They made no effort to apologize, compensate us or to even ask about the stolen items. We found another hotel to stay at for the remainder of the trip. I would recommend never staying at this hotel.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Esplendor BA. Centrally located, yet on a side street, the hotel exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, our room was not ready due to a power issue so the hotel upgraded us to a suite after only one hour of waiting, at which time we explored the area which is very safe, convenient and lively. The staff was utmost helpful and cute! We enjoyed many laughs and appreciated the timely insights on what to go and where to go. As a gay couple, we're never sure of how we'll be received and treated but the Esplendor considered us royalty as all of the other guests enjoying the cool, sleek, quiet and modern accommodations. The room was large (approximately 1,000 sq. feet), bed was comfy and we had 4 balconies to sit, relax and enjoy the vibes of the city.
