“Perfect place to stay in BA”

Stayed several nights and have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. We were accomodated in every aspect from booking a show to setting up transportation. Our group of 9 (we booked 5 rooms) all enjoyed our stay and the included breakfast buffet. The staff was helpful and courteous. The rooms were nicely appointed and very clean. I found the beds to be comfy, and I can be pretty picky about that! Great location. I thought the room rates were appropriate if not reasonable.

“perfect location, small rooms and high prices”

Melia Recoleta is a nice small hotel, perfectly located in the best BA district. There is no public transportation nearby, so the best and only option is taxi (or walking, but BA is huge, so you cannot walk everywhere). The staff is very helpful with all your needs. The standard rooms are nicely appointed, but quite small, and some are dark (those that face the second Recoleta tower). Despite AC, the rooms might feel humid on a rainy day.
Breakfast is good, but not remarkable, unless you fancy desserts. And it is held in a gloomy room in the basement. Yes, there is live jazz accompaniment with your food, but I would prefer something less noisy.
Nearby diner choices are very good and plentiful, but avoid CHE restaurant.

“Fantastic. Luxury on a smaller scale”

Lovely place. English spoken. First class service. Beautiful food, luxury surroundings, excellent location.

Poor internet access, and the room was not huge, particularly the bathroom, but that's really looking hard to find fault. This place is excellent.

“Great location, nice hotel”

A group of friends traveling together stayed at the Recoleta Plaza for 5 days in December. The hotel is perfectly located in the beautiful, upscale area of Recoleta. The rooms are very nice and well equipped, attractive and of average size. The staff is very friendly and helpful--always pleasant. Included breakfast was excellent but other food and drink pricey for B.A. Free internet available near lobby. One travel tip--you can only get 300 pesos (about $100) at a time from ATM--of course paying fee to your bank each time. Might do better with Visa debit card. Not realizing this had hard time getting cash first day and hotel wanted to charge 15% for cash charged to credit card. Nearby and very fancy Alvear Palace charges guests 5%. Other than that would recommend hotel enthusiastically--very attractive, reasonably priced and the staff is very nice and very helpful with restaurant reservations, etc.

“Loved the hotel and in particular the front desk”

The hotel was lovely and a wonderful location. We have traveled all over Europe, Mexico, Carribean and most of the U.S. The front desk and the bell captains were the best of any hotel (five star or otherwise) that we have ever stayed in. They are all very helpful, friendly and extremely nice. The rooms are very nice as well as the bathrooms. There is a buffet breakfast every morning and they have wonderful choices. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely go back again.
