My wife and I stayed at the Gurda for 6 nights late October. The hotel is quite new and modern, it only has 7 or 8 rooms and has a very relaxing atmoshere. Rooms are a bit on the small side but more than adequate and there is a large semi outdoor area where you can spread yourself out and have a relaxing drink. Breakfasts were very good and the rooms were very quiet which in BA is a big bonus - we often slept in after a late nigt out and a good nights sleep. The staff were excellent - young, full of enthusiasm and eager to help, they were also good fun. The area of San Telmo is a bit out of the way however as another review noted you get to see another side of BA. There are good places to eat and it is safe. Make sure you are there on a sunday for the market. Buses into the city were easy to catch and taxis are cheap. All up we were glad we stayed there and would recommend it highly. It was also good value and we booked through the hotel itself.
