The previous reviews of this bed and breakfast have been fabulous, so I was expecting just that. I was a bit disappointed. The owner John is a charming man who makes you feel welcome by giving you a tour of the tiny town for orientation and hosting drinks every night so guests could get to know each other. It also seemed though that by doing this, the host didn't have to answer questions about the town or the falls, other guests would (i.e. where to eat, how to get to the falls etc.). In fact when I asked questions about the falls when I arrived, I was told I could ask the other guests those questions that evening.
The rooms were a bit of a disappointment. There was no heat, but a/c, which didn't help because the nights were chilly. There was no tv in the rooms and no real ambiance either. Due to the humidity, towels didn't dry completely, so it would have been nice for them to be switched out. The neighbors dogs enjoy barking at all hours of the evening, so bring earplugs.
Breakfast was a huge disappointment. It was juice, coffee and toast. A wider selection would have been greatly appreciated so you have a fuller stomach before heading off to the falls.
