Reasonable hotel, located about 15 minutes drive from the airport. Also has free shuttle service altho’ did not have a chance to try this option. (Did see van by hotel entrance and looked nice.) Plenty of parking. Neighborhood is just fine. 5 minutes drive from ASU.

Hotel is next to highway exit. In fact, if coming from the airport, it’s easiest to take the Hohokam Expy (#143) to its final exit, or come east on Broadway Rd, as the hotel’s cross-street (48th St) does not go all the way thru’ going south.

Hotel staff very efficient. Fastest check-in I think I’ve ever experienced, and also got the type of room I had requested online. Breakfast area quite nice as was small exercise room. Free internet available. Pool area nicer than average for a mid-range chain altho’ not super large. (Sun gone by 3 pm.) Good maintenance overall.

Room was acceptable size and very nice. Bathroom had three-tiered counter which was very useful for arranging toiletries. Only complaint was closet size. Clothes to be hung in armoire in about 2 feet of space, including where the iron and ironing board are located. OK if you’re there on business for one night. Not so good if you’re two people there for several days.

My husband and I stayed at The Hampton Inn Airport South for 2 nights at the end of November. My husband was there for business at Sky Harbour International, so the location of the hotel for us quite convenient. Overall our stay was quite nice - we had a clean, nicely decorated king room on the top floor. The beds were extremely comfy, with nice new linens and a cozy white duvet. Breakfast in the lobby was not too bad - the coffee was good, and they supply take out cups if you want to take it with you. There is alot of choice for the guest - yogurts, fruit, cereal, french toast, cereal, etc., so overall, an adequate breakfast.
The pool area was small but very clean, and plenty of fresh towels to use right there. We didn't use the pool, but made use of the hottub in the evening. Very nice.
The only real negative was that the location of the hotel is not great. There is not around the hotel, it seems almost on the edge of a residential area.
The hotel is an easy drive to the University of Arizona (less than 10 minutes), so we found plenty of restaurants and pubs around the U of A. !

The price was good, but overall, the hotel had a very bad moldy/mildewy smell and there was alot of traffic noise. For this reason, I would not stay again.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn and took advantage of their airport shuttle. We checked in at the hotel, took our rental car back to the airport, and then called the Hotel to come and pick us up. If you are unfamiliar with the Phoenix Airport and their transportation to rental cars, take our word for it. It's cumbersome and crowded. The shuttle from the Hampton runs 24 hours a day and takes about ten minutes to get to or from the airport. The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. There is an English pub attached to the hotel which has an extensive beer list and a decent menu. If you're more in the mood for quick food, there's a DelTaco nearby. The beds are extremely comfortable.
