“Great stay!”

Residence Inn Phoenix North/Happy Valley

5 of 5 stars
Kildare, Ireland
Jul 29, 2008

Lovely clean, modern hotel, everything still seems new. Staff were friendly. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite, finished to a high quality. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessaries- fridge, hob, oven, microwave, delph etc. and must not forget the dishwasher! The bed was very comfortable, with crisp clean linens. There was a second television in the bedroom. The bathroom had a separate vanity area with a second closet. You also won’t need to bring an iron or hairdryer with you as they are provided. This is probably common and maybe some of you are going ‘duh!’ but being from Europe I found this to be refreshing, as when I travel in Europe I always need to bring one because more often than not no iron is provided!
The breakfast, which was included, was very good. If you wanted to make waffles, batter and a waffle maker were available.
Just make note that this hotel is located outside of Phoenix, making it some distance from Phoenix’s main attractions. However, it’s convenient to access I 17 and 101. There is a shopping mall very close by with restaurants, a cinema and shops. I didn’t know this until I arrived but the hotel will do grocery shopping for you and have it in for when you arrive. I think this is a great facility. A Wal-Mart is close by if you fancy doing your own shop.
There is also a gym, which seemed well equipped, I just looked not used! However, I did use the self-service laundry room. You need you’re room key to access it. It has 3 or 4 washing machines and about the same number of dryers. It costs $1 and detergent is available from reception at no extra charge. And speaking of charges, there were none for the bottled water left in the room or for wireless internet access.
We had a very comfortable stay here and would definitely recommend it if being outside of Phoenix wasn’t an issue.

Absolutely wonderful hotel!!!! Huge 2 bedroom, new, beautiful suite! Awesome hot breakfast included. Great pool, tennis court, and basketball court! We had a awesome 3 day stay with our three boys aged 14,11 and 9. I would highly recommend this hotel for families. Close to awesome shopping and restaurants. Minutes from the Golfland Waterslides. Great price, location and service.

“Very pleasant place to stay”

Residence Inn Phoenix North/Happy Valley

Apr 29, 2008

Everything in the hotel was brand new. The beds were heavenly! Crisp linens and very comfy. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. The breakfast spread in the mornings was very good... hot things were hot and cold things were cold. The hotel is located north of Phoenix and has very easy access to I17. There was a great shopping center near the hotel that had everything.... clothing, resturants etc.... The pool at the hotel was great, the fitness room was very well equipped and the guest laundry was inexpensive and clean. If I may, I would like to recommend Cartwright's Steakhouse in Cave Creek. Out of this world!!! Check their website for menus.

We always stay at Residence Inn if there is one where we are traveling. This one ranks in the top 3 for us.

“Pretty Good”

Residence Inn Phoenix North/Happy Valley

Apr 17, 2008

As long as the location doesn't matter (it's quite a way north of Phoenix) to you this property is great. All still pretty new so the accommodation is a very good standard, staff are welcoming and you feel comfortable with great beds. It's close enough to shops and restaurants ( a little limited) so you should find what you want. Breakfast could be better, the choice is limited and not that inviting so some improvements could be made there.

“Ahhh Great Stay...”

Residence Inn Phoenix North/Happy Valley

5 of 5 stars
Southwest US
Mar 18, 2008

While it can be quite the distance from many of Phoenix's main attractions, it was conveniently close to where I was working. At this time the hotel is almost new and the accomodations are extremely clean and comfortable. Feels like home!
There are several dining and shopping opportunities near by and access to I-17 and 101 are very convenient and can take you where you want or need to be. The hot breakfast bar in the morning was very good. The evening nosh is substancial enough to be all you need for dinner in most cases. They will also do your grocery shopping for you. But there is a Wal-Mart just down the road if you want to do it yourself.
The staff are welcoming and friendly, the location is quiet and the rooms are just right for those looking for a home away from home.
