Good hotel, my friend & I stayed here whilst on our road trip, good location, near to the walk of fame/Kodak theatre. We got upgraded because the lift wasn’t working so we had a bigger room, bigger bathroom.
The restaurant attached is very cute, proper American style diner, great breakfast!

We stayed here the last week of March. Our room, on the 4th floor was clean and a nice size room. We did not see any bugs! Bathroom was very big. The restaurant was nice but a bit expensive. (And we saw Sandra Oh in there having breakfast the very first day we were there : ) Very close to the highway and accesible to everything. Only 10-15 minutes from Universal Studios, depending on traffic of course. One complaint I do have is if you get a street side room, be prepared for traffic and people noise 24 hours a day. We had to buy ear plugs after our first night there as we could hear the traffic from the highway (that's how close it is to the highway) all night. Other than that, no complaints. Do rent a car, there is no place to walk to.

Booked this hotel and was a little skeptical after reading the reviews. We arrived really late after midnight because we had a flight from Miami. The room we had was GREAT!
It was clean, spacious, the bathroom had a double sink, which is good with 3 people. We had a mini bar, refigerator to store drinks and a view of the Hollywood sign!
It was close to the 101 freeway which was excellent since we went all over Los Angeles. The maids were very friendly, giving us extra toilet paper and towels.
Another plus was the coffee hop downstairs which gets quite crowded late night because not much is open. We ordered from there a few times nd took it to our room.

It's a little away from the attractions, but only a short drive, even cab if you want.

I'd definitely stay here again!

Fully expecting smelly rooms and cockroaches from some of the recent reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by my stay. Stayed two nights in mid-feb in a king-sized bedroom. Room was great and you could see the hollywood sign from the window. They even had a little kitchen area with a sink and fridge off in the corner. Bathroom was great and the dual shower heads were amazing.

The only disappointment was the television reception. For some reason there was quite a bit of static and none of the stations were really coming in clean.

There was a diner downstairs which was nice, although it got kind of crowded during the evenings and the really low-lighting annoyed me quite a bit. We had a car rental for the time we were there and parking was super. Location was not too bad (about 15 min walk to downtown hollywood) but I would definitely recommend a car to get around the city.

If I am ever back in LA, I would definitely consider booking this hotel again.
