“Great Place to Stay”

I had to go to Reseda, CA. for business and this was the hotel that was close to the area. I wasn't very sure about the property and was very uneasy. All I can say is I was wrong.

The property was excellent. It was very clean and safe. Parking was very good and the staff was excellent. Most of all the room was spotless. Ordered room service and it was prompt and hot when it arrived.

You can't go wrong this this hotel.

“First Hotel on Western Explorer Tour of America”

Airtel Plaza Hotel and Conference Center

This was the first Hotel stop on our itinerary of a Coach Tour of America, it was near to the Airport, I guess the Tour operator felt having flown for 11 hours he had better get us booked in to a Hotel asap...

I can honestly say that this Hotel was very good, first time in America for us and a two night stay here before travelling on was the itinerary, we had free breakfast's here and they where
absolutely yummy !! in fact the food at this Hotel spoilt the rest of the trip because no one else's breakfast's lived up to theirs. We
also had their B-B-Q evening meal which was excellent value
Steak, Salad, Jacket Potatoe's followed by apple pie and ice cream for £10. The bedrooms ,as we where to find out on our journey where HUGE compared to Europe and of a good standard and comfortable. This Hotel is fine for a few days around the LA area I cannot comment on how easy it is to get into LA because we had an organised tour and where taken by coach to various points of interest.

“A mixed bag”

Airtel Plaza Hotel and Conference Center

3 of 5 stars
Livermore, CA

I stayed here the evening of August 24, in room 340, traveling on business.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. Its main attractions are probably that it (1) is right next to the Van Nuys airport, and it (2) is in the Los Angeles area. So, unless you have a need to be right at the Van Nuys airport (to catch an early flight the next morning, say) or you really like aircraft, you'd probably do better somewhere else.

The room I stayed in was comfortable and had basic amenities. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. I didn't care for the decor, nor the style of the bed (ugly headboard). The room and bathroom were very clean, and everything functioned.

Being at the Van Nuys airport the hotel lobby naturally has an airplane motif: Pan Am posters and other nostalgia everywhere. Very nice to look at! I really liked the large, articulated model of a Boeing 747 hanging from the ceiling.

Other miscellaneous items: breakfast was not provided, and parking was $9. I'm told charging for parking is "normal" for the area, but there are certain levels of hospitality I expect. Charging someone to stay in the hotel, then charging them to park their vehicle, is a little low in my book.

The bottom line is: I've paid less and received more at other places.

“Nice affordable stay”

This hotel was very clean and spacious. We chose to stay there for the price was right and the location was good. At $80, you can't find a nicer place in the LA area. The location was okay, but I would not have walked around. Fine though to hop in the car and go. Liked that the sink was located outside of the shower/bathroom area. Beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean and decorated very nicely. Would go back again if in the LA area.

“Decent enough, but mostly average”

I stayed here for location only. I had work in the valley and this was a central location. Plus, there really is nothing else in the valley that would be better.
The room was adequate, nothing special. Bed was decent. Everything was clean and the sheets and towels were of good quality.
As a pilot I kind of appreciated the 'Airplane theme' and the proximity to the Van Nuys Airport, its out the back door. The kids will love it. I never noticed the plane noise, but was in a room facing away from the runways.
The cleaning staff was hit or miss. The first day I had a newspaper and the room was cleaned well. The second day, no paper and the bed was half made. No big deal, but not great service.
There is free WiFi in the entire hotel which is cool and the parking was $9/day. Reasonable by LA standards, but annoying when you are paying $150/night for a room.
The restaurant is decent but a bit overpriced, basically hotel prices.
There are several restaurants about 3 miles away on Ventura Blvd. Chilis, Buca, Sushi and others. Nothing real close to the hotel except for Subway, McD's and Jack in the Box.
There are a few Starbucks in the area but the cafe in the lobby has excellent coffee so I just bought it there.
All in all a decent hotel, nothing to write home about, but nothing horrible. If you have kids and need to be in the valley I would briing them here just to watch the planes, what kid doesnt love planes?
