Absolutely loved it here - no complaints about the hotel whatsoever - clean, comfortable, spacious, staff couldn't be nicer - the rooms are lovely and we are very glad we stayed here. Superb deal and would receommend this hotel to everyone!

That was my first visit in LA, and I am glad that I have had such a great experience at Airtel plaza hotel. The most important thing for me is being somewhere I can feel like home, and Airtel plaza hotel made me feel exactly like my home. I know this hotel is not fancy, but you don't have to BUY the hotel, you just need to stay somewhere comfy and just relaxing! I will be back definitely sometimes on May 2008! I had some bussiness at the VNY airport, so I've decided to stay somewhere close. The Flyaway bus ($4) took me from LAX to Van Nuys Terminal. Originally I'd planned to walk to the hotel, which is some 300 - 400 meters away, but it was raining. I had called their shuttle and it promptly arrived. The frontdesk was nice and corteous eventhough I was paying hell of a bargain ($85) through hotelsrus. Usual rate is something about $160-$180. As everyhing there is aviation related , you won't receive a card but passport to your room.

My room was on the ground floor. It was OK, everything worked well, wifi internet was a breeze. The only big disappointment was the sound insulation between the rooms which is nonexistent. I could clearly hear people talking. Pack a pair of ear plugs.

But overall this was a good place to stay, lot of guests at the breakfast. They were keen to store my luggage after checkout and of course they handed me a baggage claim ticket.

I would definitely stay again.

Ever since I was a kid, I have loved watching planes. So take this review with a grain of salt, because the Airtel Plaza Hotel speaks right to my aeronautical infatuation. However, even if this property was located somewhere else and not done up with some of the airplane kitsch, I'd still think it was a pretty pleasant place to stay.

My room appeared to be fairly recently remodeled. The decor was pleasing ... a nod toward modern minimalism, yet comfortable. One can tell that before the remodel this was probably a pretty standard large motel-type property. The renovations, though, have made this property quite comfortable.

There are a few items that still seem a bit cheap: the plastic surround shower/bath, wood veneer doors, dresser drawers that looked a bit out of place, the low-quality A/C heater unit below the windows. But those are minor.

The room was comfy with a bed with great linens and pillows and a desk with a nice ergonomic desk chair. Bath linens were fine ... not the fluffiest or whitest, but just fine. Carpet was clean and seemed pretty new.

I did order a pizza from room service, which was pretty tasty and delivered within 20 minutes.

I'll definitely try to stay at the Airtel Plaza again when the need arises.
