My wife and I had a very nice stay at MLC over the Independence Day weekend. We were able to enjoy the festivities in Dahlonega and some great hiking in the surrounding area. The location of MLC is perfect for so many activities: hiking, wineries, shopping & eating.

We stayed in the mountain view room. It was very nicely decorated and appointed. The view was nice over the back of the property looking out to the hills to the north. The bathroom was large, with a jacuzzi and a shower. The 600 thread count sheets almost made us want to sleep all day. Breakfast each morning was delicious...we left full and impressed each time.

The restaurants recommended by the inn keepers were really nice. We enjoyed every meal in the restaurants right around the square in Dahlonega.

We have loved this area for many years, so we were happy to find a nice B&B that we liked so that we can visit again down the road.

Amazing...Dennis and David make their guests feel like royalty.
The location was on the same road we were using for the winery tour, which made for easy accessability!
It was so secluded and offered wonderful views...
The breakfast was filling and very special, with no detail left unnoticed.
We will definitely return!

“Great Getaway Spot!”

This was our first stay in a B & B and I was nervous that the people would be weird or would want to be in our business the whole time. I was wrong! Dennis and David were there to help us if we needed it, but for the most part they stayed in the background and let us enjoy our stay. We stayed in the Mountain View Room and it was wonderful. It was big, clean, and comfortable. There was a nice jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and the decor was very tasteful. The linens and towels were high quality and the bed was very comfortable. There was also a small private balcony with a pretty mountain view. I was concerned about not having a TV in the room but we didn't even need it. The surroundings were great including the view. In the mornings we sat at a table close to a window and watched as 4 or 5 different species of birds fed off the birdfeeder. It was so interesting and fun watching them fight over rights to the feeder. The breakfasts were delicious and creative and the tables were separated so we didn't feel obligated to carry conversations with other guests, although the ones we ran into were very nice. There was an extensive dvd collection and a TV in the common area that could be watched, though we didn't. We did check out a game from their collection available to guests and had fun with that. As far as the town goes, it was quaint but small and about a half a day was enough to see everything there. I would reccomend this B & B for a romantic getaway or just a little retreat from everyday life. We went for our anniversary and will be back when we can get the time.

“Relaxing Getaway”

Mountain Laurel Creek Inn & Spa

Atlanta

We had a wonderful, relaxing, and peaceful time. The Inn went above and beyond what we had expected based on photos from their website. We stayed in there Parlor Suite which was warm, clean and very comfortable. At first I was unsure about not having a TV in the room but we didn't even miss it as we enjoyed our time together. They have a nice hot tub outdoors as well as a Jacuzzi in our suite. David and Dennis were great hosts and knew the area well as they gave us great restaurant recommendations and even mapped us out a trip to see some of the area water falls. We'll definitely be back, this time with our friends!
