“Always a great Stay”

This is about the 7th time I've stayed at this property and it's always great. The rooms are large and comfortable and the staff is always helpful. There were three of us checking in at the same time who were together and originally we were in two different towers but the desk clerk was able to juggle us around and get us in the same tower. That's not always a big deal, but at this hotel it is since it's a long walk across two corridors and through the casino to get between towers.

During the day we rented a cabana and it was well worth the money. We got one of the large ones and it came with three tables and chairgs, and five lounges outside the cabana in an area that was private from the rest of the pool. Also the misters were a big plus in the 100 degree weather.

The one negative for the hotel is that the casino is kind of lacking compared to the strip and even comparing it to the Red Rock. The good news is that the Red Rock is only about a 10 minute drive away, and you can get to the strip in about 20 minutes so if you want to be away from the craziness of the strip during the day this is a good option.

The restaurant choices are fairly limited. There's a Japanese restaurant with Sushi that's pretty good, the standard Vegas coffee shop and one nicer restaurant called Ceres that has a pretty good breakfast buffet. If you want something nicer you'll have to drive.

All in all, it's a great option for Vegas depending on your needs.

We stayed 4 days/3 nights at the J.W Marriot and was definitely impressed. I have never written a review before but I thought I had to give this hotel one. I initially booked the hotel to get away from the crowds along the strip. It was the best decision I made. We also attended my kids AAU Basketball tournament at the Cashman Center which was only 10 mins away. The strip was only 10min to 15 min away. It is conveniently located. The hotel was beautiful, not to mention the hotel grounds. The breakfast at the Ceres Restarant was great. I highly recommend it. I did not care for the lunch buffet at the Rampart Buffet Restaurant. Swimming pool was beautiful. It wasn't crowded at all. The kids loved it. I plan on coming back to this hotel at my kids next basketball tournament. Stay at the J.W. Marriot. You won't regret it.

“Amazing, just wonderful”

I was there for almost a week, attending a convention with 1200 other people. It simply blew my mind. I had never even conceived of such a magnificent hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

We were in a one bedroom suite, with 1.5 baths and there was more room then we knew what to do with! The only issue we had was that a fridge had been specifically requested, due to medical reasons. When we arrived the fridge was there in the room, in a little nook under the kitchen counter, but the plug didn't work so we couldn't get hte fridge to turn on! We had to drag it ouside the kitchen area to find a working plug. But it was really no big deal.

I would definitely 100% return to this hotel. I went to the Strip my last night, and was glad the hotel was accessible but not right there admidst all the noise and lights.

“Awesome Luxury Resort”

JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort, Spa & Golf

5 of 5 stars
Ottawa, Canada
Jul 27, 2008

Incredible hotel! As all Marriotts(I think) it is non-smoking except in designated areas. We stayed for 5days/4 nights. You have to go at leat once just to check out the unbelievable marble bathroms. An oasis of calm and luxury in the desert. Only about 20-25 minutes to the strip this is the perfect resort to go to if you want a beautiful retreat not too far from all the action. The free shuttle service is friendly and the drivers had plentyof tips if you asked. Our room window opened to a beautiful waterfall and it drowned out the noise coming from the roadways nearby. Didn't care much to have to walk through the casino to get everywhere but once we discovered the outside paths it was much better. The spa facilities were first rate and the fruit/drnks available were a nice touch. Because we could not have the requested room, the friendly desk clerk upgraded our room at no charge and offered us complimentary breakfast for 3 mornings! The restaurant staff was so friendly that when we returned to LV a year later we went to the Marriott Resort in Summerlin just for the wonderful breakfast buffet at Ceres(restaurant). 2 waitresses recognized us and recalled our names. Now that's impressive. My beautiful wife and I highly recommend this very well kept resort.

I'm not a golfer but the grounds I could see were impeccable. The views of Red Rock Canyon were breathtaking and we enjoyed walking on the upper terraces at sundown. Felt totally safe wether accompanied or alone

“Great stay - highly recommended”

JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort, Spa & Golf

We had a very pleasant 4 night stay at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort. We got a great rate as, like a previous reviewer, we kept checking the hotel rate in the three months between booking and staying. Rate fell by almost a third in that time, saving us nearly $200 for the four nights. We were upgraded to a lovely room with a balcony on the top floor in the Spa Tower overlooking the golf course and mountains, with Las Vegas just about viewable too - best of all worlds! Huge bathroom with separate shower, two sinks and large clothes closet in hall. Self-parking was free, no need for valet parking at the high rate charged. Internet worked fine but daily charge of $9.95 was applied. Staff were courteous and helpful at all times. Didn't take the shuttle bus as we had a car and the hotel was easily accessible to the Strip (15 minutes drive) but satellite navigation is very useful.
