I managed to catch two shows, one at 7:30pm when the sun was just setting, and another at 8:00pm when it was dark. Definitely, it's best to see the show during the dark, as after 8pm, the shows are every 15 minutes in occurrence (as opposed to every 30 minutes). Additionally, the water coming from the jets is lighted up, which makes the show even more spectacular. The first show I saw was to the music of Frank Sinatra and the second was to Elvis Presley's "Viva Las Vegas." The best part is that it's a free show, but you can't really watch it from across the street or while passing by as there are trees all around the fountain, so it's best to just grab an early place at the balcony.
