While on vacation Mesquite, Nevada, we had the opportunity to play five golf courses. One of which was the famed Wolfcreek. This was our second time playing it. We were rather disapointed to say the least. Half way through our golf round, one of the lot attendants advised us that we needed to cease golfing and go speak with the manager about an unknown problem. We went inside and the now on-duty pro began questioning whether or not we even paid to be on his course. He was not remotely professional. Instead of checking with his previous pro and asking him if we had paid, he just assumed we had not. Apparently they only check credit receipts and found none in our names. We paid in cash.
My thought is this, if I am goind to shell out $165.00 for a round of golf, at an areas most premier golf course, I expect a certain level of professionalism. The course manager/pro team was none of the above. Further, one would expect a snack cart of some kind on the course, none here. Even the $50.00 courses have this benefit.
The manager gave the lot attendants two buy one get one free drink tickets and asked him to give them to us. First, everybody gets them after thier round, and second, he should have apologized himself.
The course is in impeccable as always. I was severely disapointed when the management called into question our integrity without checking the facts first. To say the least, it was the worst golf experience I have had to date. PS. the date we played was February 14th, 2007. Thanks
