“DFW Hyatt was a great find”

Grand Hyatt DFW

Aug 20, 2008

We were stranded at DFW with a cancelled flight ten o'clock at night with the airport closing and nowhere to go. Refusing to panic, I remembered being very favorably impressed with the airport Hyatt in San Francisco, so in spite of my airline's attempt to steer me to the Holiday Inn in North Dallas, I called the Hyatt at DFW anyway. I was happy I did. The hotel was beautiful, the room was great, and we enjoyed the bar after we checked in (we needed a good bar after the travel "adventure" we had just had) and we liked the Mexican breakfast in the hotel restaurant the next morning. All in all, the hotel salvaged a bad travel day and turned it around. We took off the next day for our final destination in a much better state of mind and wallet. They did undercharge for the room since we checked in late--gave us the Holiday Inn price for the Hyatt experience. So if I end up staying at an airport hotel again, I will definitely look for a Hyatt first, if they have one.

“Will always stay here before I fly from DFW”

Grand Hyatt DFW

I found this hotel when looking for a hotel that offered park and fly from DFW. I chose it becase it was as close as I could get (same terminal) and it was ranked high on trip advisor. I was very happy. Check in was quick. The bell boy that took us to our room showed us where everything was and explained the mini bar to my daughter, telling her "it will charge , no you money even if you oped it and look at it", which was cute. The room was clean, beds were comfy, pillows plentiful, and NO outside noise. We ate at the restaurant downstairs. We had snack items (chicken wings and sliders), a salad, kids meal, and 4 or 5 drinks and it was around $100 with the tip. Pool was rooftop and clean. Did not use the gym but I did check it out and it was nice. Locker rooms were great. Received wake up call on time and check out was simple. Received free coffee coupons which were great since flight was at 6 am. The stay at the hotel was a great way to start off a vacation. I was laying out at the pool watching my daughter, thinking.." anytime we fly from DFW, we should come a day early and stay here to make it easier", when...my husband says.." we should walays do this when we fly out from here". So it will be!

“Great Room, good conf facilities”

Grand Hyatt DFW

This is an on airport property. The only bad thing I could name was that I couldn't take the train to my desired terminal because I had checked luggage and wasn't on "american airlines.'

As soon as I arrived via shuttle bus from my terminal, bell staff was there to take my bags. (golf bags get me automatic bell service, otherwise I haul them.) They were very responsive, timely, helpful, etc. The bell man even suggested restaurants (unsolicited) and other helpful info.

My usual late arrival room service was very good, but pricey. The sunset over the runway/traffic control terminals was very cool. The full moon was equally good. Who could have imagined a room with a view at the airport. (No noise either!)

The room was very modern, very clean, and well apportioned. Maid service was good.

When I needed to catch the shuttle to terminal e, the bellman/limo driver was extremely helpful. (A cabbie didn't know where one of the better known golf courses or hotels was located the day before.)

I'd stay there again!.

“Peace and Quiet”

Grand Hyatt DFW

Jul 25, 2008

My wife and I had an early departure to California and decided to stay at the Grand Hyatt. I had purchased the Park, Sleep, Fly package and it was well worth the money. I was a little worried after arriving that the noise from the departing planes was going to be an issue. I'd have to say that this was the quietest place I think I've ever stayed in my life. The night that we arrived, there just happened to be a terrible thunder and lightening storm that was passing through and my wife and I slept without hearing single peep. The room is very modern with all the up to date electronic devices and gadgets. The bathroom was absolutely amazing and roomy. There was a very large tub, a seperate walk in shower and hamper. The bed was very comfortable and was filled with pillows, I mean lots of comfortable pillows.
If you don't want to pay the high costs of room service or pay the ridiculous price of a soda or water out of the fridge, I recommend going to the Grapevine Mills Mall which is close by and provides wonderful restuarants and shopping.

Beautiful hotel right inside the airport terminal. Our room had a fabulous view of the runway. There is a roof top pool. We stayed here our last night of our trip because we had an early departure the next morning. I wish we had more time to enjoy the hotel, it was really nice. Super convenient for early flights.
