“Best Hotel in Kihei”

We just returned from a 10 day stay at the Aloha Pualani! It was wonderful. When we arrived everything was perfect. The room was great! They had supplied us with some fruit and enough coffee to last about a week! Gerri was wonderful. When we were there she discovered that it was our 1st wedding anniversary and bought us lei's and gave us a wonderful card! The minute that we got there it felt like a home away from home!! With only 6 suites it was a little oasis. We didn't have to worry about getting a spot at the pool it was great. The use of the BBQ and outdoor fridge made it great to be outside and not having to eat out every meal was wonderful!! This is a great place for anyone who wants to be out of the crowds and want to relax. It was at the end of the strip of hotels so it was quiet at night, but it wasn't far from any of the amenities. We were right across from the ocean so it was great to just cross the street and be on one of the many amazing beaches in Kihei. When we go back to Maui we are definitely going to stay here again! It was our own private oasis!!

Have just spent 9 days in the White Ginger suite. The owner Sherry asked us what time we would arrive as she likes to personally greet all her guests, but she wasn't there and we didn't get to see anyone at all for 3 days, which was a little annoying as we felt we were left to fend for ourselves and there were several things we wanted to ask.

You are given a key code in advance for the doors so there isn't any need to check in like you usually would. The suite itself was beautiful although as it was at the front it was the closest to the busy road which was a pain especially as we took a long time chosing where we stayed and wanted somewhere close to the beach so we could open the windows and hear the waves at night, but unfortunately that wasn't possible with the road noise. Also the guy at the property infront was doing up his place so we had to contend with slabs being broken up and electric tools which started before 7am on several occasions, nothing to do with the Aloha but a bit annoying none the less.

We also only had our toiletries replaced once in the 9 days which was a shame as they were lovely local lavender items and for $355 a night we would have liked them replaced. The suite wasn't particularly well cleaned either, we had lots of little bugs downstairs which meant all food items had to be put away over night, including cups/glasses with the remains of drink in because they would be infested the next day and the floor was also very dirty, I had new slippers which after 9 days were absolutely filthy from walking around downstairs.

Overall the stay was great, you can whale watch from the windows of the suite but it would have been nice to have felt welcomed instead of, right I've had your money now work it out for yourselves!

Good place. Nice pool and the rooms are decorated well. Everything was nice, bathrooms, bedroom, pool area. Was a little noisy from road noise and the beach was not great! Overall good stay!

“Outstanding Accommodation”

We found the Aloha Pualani through an exhaustive search online, looking for accommodations for the 5 couples in our group. After booking with Sherry, we were releaved to find that her Boutique Hotel was given a terrific recommendation in the Maui Reveals Book. They did not exagerate!!! Each of the 5 units we booked (there are 6 in total) were beyond our expectations. Beautifully decorated with original artwork, these very large 1 bedroom, 2 floor, suites included all the ammenities. Full kitchen with all implements (including items such as a rice cooker) and gourmet cutting knives, etc. Everything you could possibly use including stereos. Units included full main floor living rooms, huge second story bedrooms, and master baths. Check out their web site, you won't be disappointed.
The best part of the Pualani experience is the use of the gourmet BBQ, commercial size fridge, ice maker, and the huge Bar area by the pool. With our group we BBQ'd most nights, and spent lovely evenings by the bar entertaining and soaking in the Maui ambiance. Way too much fun.
Your couldn't ask for a better hostess. Sherry is outstanding.

“Amazing honeymoon stay at Aloha Pualani in Maui!!!”

We booked our 9 day honeymoon at Aloha Pualani based on the terrific reviews here. We were not disappointed! Everything was incredible and just as described. Sherry was extremely kind and generous and upgraded us to a bigger room since we were the only guests staying there! We had a very comfortable stay in the Gardenia suite. We finally saw another couple on our last day. While in Maui we took full advantage of the amenities at AP. We used the outdoor grill almost every day and ate our lunches poolside at the bar. On that note, we loved having the community fridge stocked with all the condiments you can imagine at our disposal. Definitely check it out before you go grocery shopping. The saline pool was amazing...our first time experiencing a no chlorine pool, and we enjoyed it very much! And it was very, very clean. As was our condo, thanks to the incredible cleaning staff. Having fresh beach towels daily was a great perk. And the laundry room came in handy too!

We also loved using all the fun beach toys that were supplied. We couldn't believe how close the beach was...literally right across the street. We walked the beach every morning and evening. It was heaven! My new husband and I even attempted body surfing using the boogie boards provided. My advice, Be careful! We both got taken out by some HUGE waves on Big Beach...and I mean HUGE 10 foot swells! It was a blast but can get very dangerous very quickly. We are dying to return to Maui and Aloha Pualani. Maybe for our anniversary? Aloha!

    • Disliked — not much within walking distance except the beach...you must rent a car!
