We just got back from Maui and had a great time. This was thanks largely in part to the place we chose to stay. We're so thankful that Tripadvisor helped us find this property - it was exactly what we wanted and needed to get the most out of our stay.
We were in room 12, which has beautiful, vaulted ceilings. The kitchen was great - well stocked with equipment - and a trip to the grocery saved us a lot of money on meals - allowing us to splurge on dinners.
Our room was next to the stairway that leads to the deck - which we used a lot. The view was great - perfect for breakfast! One word of advice though: if you're there while there's a party crowd that could be a little loud. As it was, it was a quiet week, so we didn't have any issues with noise.
We also loved thoughtful touches like beach towel service and a small cooler for use on our various trips to beaches and parks. We made good use of the free wireless access - as well as the freebie computers by the deck.
Also of note: the beach across the street isn't the best in Maui - however, it was a great place to start a walk. Plus, it's not far to any number of other beaches. The location on S. Kihei Rd. made it easy to get to anywhere we wanted to be.
And what can you say about the staff?! We loved Eddie & Co. They had so many great tips - we felt like family and we sad to say goodbye.
To sum up - a clean, comfy, super-reasonably priced room in a great location! While the Maui Sunseeker may not have the pool scene or fancy-schmancy bars and spas like the big resorts - it has tons of charm, personal attention and a location that can't be beat. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
