If you are there mainly to enjoy the beautiful sand, swim in the turquoise ocean and snorkel amongst tropical fish; enjoy the laid-back Hawaiian atmosphere, this is the hotel for you.

This hotel is a gem amongst the steroid-sized hotel chains nearby with their pool-centered crowds. Kaanapali Beach Hotel is at the best part of the beach, with great swimming, and only a 100 yards from one of the best snorkeling spots: the Black Rock. It is 5 minutes away from a number of decent restaurants and a 5 minute drive from Lahaina - which is not the quiet village we fell in love with 25 years ago anymore, but that's another story.

There were 10 of us total who visited Kaanapali Beach Hotel..8/4 to 8/11/08. My parents treated us..it was their third visit to the hotel and our first visit and first time in Maui. The staff at the hotel is so friendly and seem to cater to your every need.

We all had an awesome trip and cannot wait to visit there again. In our books...this is definately a 5 star hotel! The Tonar family and the Crabtree Family

I was so impressed with the staff. I can't remember when I've been somewhere and everyone around me had a smile on their face. I had a few problems with medical equipment, but all in all I would not hesitate to return.

I have traveled all over the country, and I have to say this was one of the best hotels I have stayed at. From the Employees, to the service and the onsite restaurants it had it all. I will definitely stay here again

The Ka'anapali Beach Hotel in Maui was a wonderful place to "come home to" at the end of our busy days while on the island. It was so relaxing to sit out on the lawn overlooking the ocean. The staff was very friendly , and we hope to return some day and spend more time enjoying the beach and taking things a little slower. Maui has so much to offer, and we didn't want to miss anything, and we would definitely return to the same hotel.
