Ideal place for stay with 2 teenagers -after 3 weeks touring it was good to sink into the room comforts of the Orchard. It is in walking distance of shops,good places to eat and site seeing.We all found the area safe to be in and loved being so near to the bustle of the city centre,trams and China Town. Great to return to the peace of the hotel . It lived up to expectations and was exactly as described. My two appreciated free online access and the gym. I would have appreciated some snack/drink complimentaries for them along with the tea/coffee rather than keeping them away from the mini bar priced goodies! (They had enjoyed a great menu of complimentaries during our stay at hotel in Hollywood and felt this would have put the Orchard up in their rating of the top city places we had stayed -as such it took second place!)

Expensive but very nice. Location near Chinatown, Downtown, and cable cars was terrific. Room was clean and attractive, and the beds were really comfortable. Staff at front desk was very friendly and helpful (for example, on restaurant recommendations). Breakfast was good but not cheap.

We spent 3 nights at Orchard Garden. Classy hotel, lovely room. Extremely convenient location.

Staff are wonderful, very efficient and helpful. Offered lots of tips about places to visit - in San Francisco and nearby.

Can't comment re the food as we didn't eat in.

The hotel was excellent at booking in guaranteeing adjoining rooms for us and our children. Everywhere else we had been on our two week road trip we were simply offered "best efforts" which really doesn't suffice with three children.

We found the hotel well located for our requirements. Walking is easy (once you get used to the hills!) and taxis were well priced. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. There are DVD players in the rooms and a small library at the Front Desk so it was good to watch "Escape from Alcatraz" with the children!

The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. If you use the valet parking it's quite expensive and it took about 30 minutes for our car to arrive when we left - so you may find it better to abandon your car before you come into the City.

We didn't eat or drink in the hotel - it looked pleasant enough but we chose to take in variety elsewhere.
