We have been to San Diego/Sea World every summer for the past 5 years. I had been happy with our choice of the past 2 years, a property about 20 minutes from SeaWorld. This yeard, I didn't want to drive the extra distance daily to and from Sea World. After lots of review on this site, I decided on the Residence Inn. This was a great choice for our family, with a teenager and two 6 year olds. The room was comfortable, with my little ones sharing the kids room. Instead of bunkbeds, the hotel gave me the option of 2 twins which worked out well. The breakfast bar has plenty of good food and will save lots of money on breakfast. The lobby has cookies, fruit and punch/lemonade available all day. There is a small game room for the kids and larger game room with 2 pool tables, foosball, air hockey and pinball. This gave my teenager something to do. There is a large laundry room with several washers and dryers available. The hotel provides laundry soap and dryer sheets. Thank you!The stafff was very friendly and helpful. We took full advantage of the kitchen, but there was no stove. Grocery store was only 1.5 miles away. We also used the business center and wireless internet in the lobby. Parking and hotel seemed very secure, as you need your room key to enter the parking lot and get in/out of the hotel through the side doors. Oh, and the best part...only a 5 minute drive to Sea World!

Stayed here for one night during our 10 day Southern California Vacation. Good location to get to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo, easy access on/off freeway. One bedroom suite had plenty of room, comfortable beds. Breakfast Buffet with good selection of foods with some heathy options. Front desk staff casual, helpful. Marketplace to get soda and ice cream. View from room limited (faced a sidewalk and wall near pool), noise not a problem. Parking in a gated lot, location appeared secure.

We stayed here during the U.S. Open last week. The location is really central to almost anything. The one bedroom worked out well for us. We thought the breakfast each day had an excellent variety and we ate there every morning for a week. The rooms and grounds are well maintained. The pool is clean and well cared for. The staff members were especially attentive and all of our needs were met. The promotions for the golf tournament were fun too.

My husband and I went to this hotel after getting off of a 5 day cruise....we had previously booked a room at a different hotel that turned out to be a huge disappointment and we cancelled immediately upon checking in and seeing our room. The Residence Inn turned out to be EXACTLY what we were looking for as a nice treat for our last night on vacation!!! The room was very clean, had a nice view of the mountainside, was very large and comfortable.....ideal for what we were looking for!!! The dining room was a little bit crazy for breakfast - but the food was good. Would totally stay here again and recommend it to any of our friends and family!!!
